HD 4850... 9800GTX+ Whichever you like best or can get for cheaper. They are pretty much equal
he said on a budget, not 200 dollar cards
This is a 8800GTS G92 from the look of it. Single 6 pin PCI power connector, 128 SP instead of the normal 112 in a "9800GT" or 8800GT. This looks like an excellent fit IMO, both with your budget, and your case concerns. The dual slot cooling will be a definite plus versus a reference 8800GT, or any of the multiple variants that dump waste heat back into your case.
Ah yeah, shame that, I feel the HD 4850 would've been a better choice. :3eyes:
9600gt = 110fps
7950gt = 45 fps
cod4 same settings same situation, take that as example, 9600gt its 10-0% slower than 8800gt (depending of game),
Hd 4850 FTW!
Ya I was feeling the same way, but I got a brand new, IN THE BOX PNY 8800 for $96 shipped. When I first started this plan, Id have thought Id only have enought for 2 8800 GS....Ive been trying to stick with NVIDIA for possible SLI upgrades. Since the 8800 essentially equals the 9800, and the next thing after a single card is the Gx2 (which I DO NOT WANT), and than a gtx 260/260....My math says that I have one card still for sale on Ebay, and its 100% profit, or I can get a second card...
