yep +1 on UD5, just recommend not to use the 4 Gigabyte Sata 2 ports and just use intel spec ones instead, thats the only hassle i had, other than that 0 problems, got it overclocked in a few hours to 4Ghz and verified a few hours later, rock stable since, never hun once on OC or required a cmos reset( even though thats handy with the reset switch at the back ), also 3 way sli/crossfire is mega just to know its there if you want it( of course some of the other mobos support that also ).

The gigabyte UD5 is known to get a better BCLK than the P6K also, but im not sure if the new Asus P6K new revision beats that now or not

does the Rampage extreme 2 still cut the mustard? seeing as it was one of the early i7 boards, is it missing anything that the newest mobos have?

I'm thinking of selling my kit to a mate. I loved my rampage formula so would like to stay with that series of board. Money doesnt come into it, just from a features stand point what would the Rampage 2 get out of 10?

^ I'd prefer the Rampage II to the classified or bloodrage etc, still seems a very good board

hey today i tried to learn about the architecture of core 2 n core i7. the conclusion that i made is core to duo is a rework of Pentium 3's p6 architecture 9 its a old thing. n i7 is nothing but adding the Pentium 4 into a core 2. some other improvements r also there but mainly they have added the better side of Pentium 4 into a core 2. n took the idea of hyper-transport from AMD as QPI link. these better things they gained at the time of strangulating to make Pentium 4 a better processor. which they couldn't do because of the internal architecture of pentium 4. but now they have a better architecture so they r adding the better feature of pentium 4 qpi link n lil bit of new spice and a new processor........
