upgrade from amd to intel,worth it?

I have a amd fx 8350 and have been offered a cheap core i7 4770s,is it worth the upgrade?

 

i7 4770s is a lower power 3.1ghz locked chip. Still better than your FX chip but idk if thats a worthy upgrade and im sure you are overclocking considering you have a powerful GPU.

I would say keep it for now and wait for Ryzen.

Btw, how cheap is the deal?

That's about what it's worth, not exactly a cheap deal.

 

I can get the i7 4790 for £220 and a gigabyte motherboard for £70,i just really want to get back to intel and this at the moment is my cheapest option without having to replace all my ram too.

 

i7 4790 is going to be the best bang for the buck and ten times more value than that 4770s.

I'd say go for it, I noticed a huge increase in performance even going from a 8350 to a 920 in older games.

 

I vote for that 4790.

 

i now can get hold of a i7 4770k for an extra £10,now i have to decide on either the 4790 or the 4770k.

 

If you want some overclocking fun and extra feel good factor, get the K.

 

why dont you wait for raizen to come out first probably you can get the same deal if better for cheaper...so thats my 2 cents

 

this way i get back onto intel and get a nice boost and dont have to spend extra cash on ddr4 when my ram is fine.
