I think they got the keplar thing fixed now :) I am pulling 100,000+ ppd on my GTX 660ti since the 7.2.9 update that just came out. whereas before i think i was getting about 20k.

I would say it is fixed... look at this

Edit: Hold on, now I see the mistake, you actually have fallen for nvidia´s rebranding BS. I couldn´t find a GTX640, since there are only GT640´s available and the GT640 OEM is a rebranded GT545. What type of GT640 do you have? Can you run Afterburner to identify your GPU exactly, might be a Fermi and not a Kepler.

aye, I also got big gaps between projects (smp). Some give 35k+ ppd and some only 7k.

But points are points...and it's not about them anyway - we all know it's about helping a good cause.

Points are GREAT bragging rights though, don't get me wrong. Take away the point values and only the hardcore folders will continue, leaving no new folders - after all, who wants to give up their CPU processes for absolutely *nothing*, right?

But lets not forget what it's really all about. Kepler or not, great WU PPD or not, it's still going to help save lives - hopefully not your own (by that I mean that I'm hopeful that YOU never get a cancer or Parkinson's or Alzheimer's, etc.), but if so, at least you played a part in helping to discover new therapies!

My card isn't a rebrand. My card is an actual kepler card. NVidia created 2 SKUs based on Kepler and 1 SKU based on Fermi. I know exactly what hardware I own.

The "GTX640" in my specs to the left, is a typo...but if you had actually read my other posts, that would have been obvious.... If you're not going to read the related posts, don't bother responding to any of mine. I don't have time for ignorance or stupidity.

Well yes, this is my last response to you too!!!
But I I just figured out where you are coming from, the country with the most unfriendly and ignorant people in the world. Yeah pretty much says and explains it all. You´re off my radar on the blacklist of annoying people.

LOL, don't get me wrong Mannerheim, I thoroughly enjoy my current output and will likely do everything I can to make it higher. Points are bragging rights for ALL of us, whether it's from 3DMark (or other benchmark), or from post count, or F@H.
Without something to strive for or someone to try to beat in friendly competition, there would be no fun in this world! ;)

I recently installed F@H on an older E6850 w/ nVidia 6200GTX that surprisingly gets almost as much PPD as my own personal rig - depending on what WU it's crunching.

I can't say if Kepler is fixed or not, but I will say that this 6200GTX machine just pulled a 100K WU, and there's no way it's a Kepler card...

Anyway, points are points, and it's all in good fun. I've enjoyed my run in the top 5 producers for Guru3D, and I'm going to do everything I can to be one of the "Big Dogs" some day - that's my "something to strive for". :D

is that a nivida 6200gtx if it is then it does not even have cuda so should not be able to fold ? 100k like a 100,000?

For those that don't know....(which should be few)
    GT640 has 3 SKUs. 2 Retail, 1 OEM
    There are 3 cards, 2 based on GK107, 1 based on GF116
The GF116 variant has a TDP of 75watts, 1 GK107 based card has a TDP of 75watts while the other has a TDP of 50watts.
Both GK107 SKUs feature 384 "cuda cores" while the GF116 variant has 144 "cuda cores".

F@H is fully compatible with the GF116 based GT640.
MY card, as stated in other threads, is a GK107 based card, thus, a Kepler based card.

I've re-acquired my Fermi based GTX560Ti and when time permits will reinstall it in place of my GTX660 to Fold short-term....

Sorry, just getting sick of all the arrogant people. I thought the first line in my post at the top of the page....made things pretty obvious...but requires people to actually read before making arrogant posts that serve to insult others...

That's the first line from my post that's displayed at the top of this page....

Apologies, I was looking at the wrong machine when I typed that (I've got 15 of them here in my shop as we speak)

The machine in question actually has an 8600GTS in it. G84.
It's clearly pulling some big PPD WUs - check out my daily! ;)

I'm very happy with it's little performance!
In fact, I have another 8600GTS here that I'll likely drop into another quick-build system to see if it's a misnomer.

OR, do you think that it would perform better in SLI? Haven't tried it, but I've got 2 of them.

I also have 2 8800 Ultras just sitting in a drawer... perhaps I should build a folding machine around those? How does F@H do with SLI anyway? (admittedly, I haven't done any research on SLI w/ F@H at all) - so any experience with it??

"Back in the day", F@H didn't like SLI and required it to be disabled. From what little I've read, it's supposed to play nice with it now.

folding still doesn't play nicely with SLI had to disable SLI for better folding performance that what happened to me the other day

Thanks for the input - I'll maybe do a little testing for a day with 2 8600GTS in one machine in SLI and then separate as GPU0 and GPU1, then possibly break out those 2 8900 Ultras and do the same thing...

right it been a fun week NOT, got two gigabyte 670 X3s to put i the i7-970 rig but was testing it for a few days and did not like the temps as the gpu did not have any space between them there was a 25c difference one was 45 the other was 70 was not going to have that. so i move the two 460's back in to that rig and put the 670's and the ssd in to my 2600k build so that can now be my main rig(still not happy about that). the 670's now run at 45/46 at alot lower fan speed too :) . next funny problem is i work out it is not a good idea to stick you finger in the fan of a gpu when it spinning so it broke so i now have to replaces it as when it spines it vibrates so i email MSI, i ask could they sell me a fan. in the end they told me to RMA it, it must have a long warranty as there coming up to two year old. i didn't relay want to rma it as i would have to send them to the Netherlands (postage would be less than buying a fan) but they could not sell me one don't know why as they still use the cooler on different gpu. ended up buying one from somewhere else i just wondering why the manufacturer could not sell me one or could not be bothered.

Right, just starting to fold again after a week or so hiatus.
This time, thermal paste on CPU and GPU have been reapplied (Gelid GC Extreme), dustbunnies evicted from their homes, and 2500K cranked up a bit to 4.5GHz after a little tweaking (was 4.4GHz).

At the moment, temps are toastier for the CPU (~75C, compared to ~71C @4.4GHz).
GPU is quite cooler now at ~72C, from ~81C pre-cleaning.
Using 7.2.9 and GeForce drivers at 310.61 Beta; no issues so far.
Might I add that this beta driver is by far the best driver for this 560Ti after some mediocre jobs of the previous ones.
