    Hi all,

    I'm thinking to change my Gtx 1080 with Asus / MSI 5700XT or Nvidia RTX 2070 super.
    I need a VGA that is good for 1440p ultrawide , I know that the RTX 2080 super or 2080 TI is better, but I can't spent 800 euro or more.

    I saw the benchmark of Asus strixt 5700xt and 2070 super and seems good for 1440p 16:9, but I did't find benchmark for 1440p 21:9, You think is good however?

    what you advise me?

    my pc:

    CPU : ryzen 3700x
    MOBO: msi x570 gaming plus
    VGA: GTX 1080
    RAM : G.skills trident z 3200mhz
    PSU: EVGA 750w
    MONITOR: ASUS XG35VQ

    Lower performance than 1440p(2560x1440), substract about 1/3 from the 1440p results, then that is what you would get with 1440p UltraWide.
    I would go for a cheap 2070 Super than a custom RX 5700XT for that resolution, or maybe check your second hand market for a 1080 Ti.

    There is no cheap 2070S so you'll have to spend 500$+ for it. I would recommend custom rx5700xt and selling 1080 to cover some of the cost.

    I don't like buy a second hand hardware...maybe only from warehouse amazon.
    Asus 5700xt has a price minus of 100 or 150 euro respect 2070S and with benchmark AMD wins for price / performance ratio

    exactly...a custom 5700xt have a price around 400/500 euro, while 2070S 600 euro is the more economic and with benchmark AMD wins for price / performance ratio

    In italy, 2070s Inno3d and palit has price around 570 euro, EVGA 600 euro , in this moment I don't know the price of custom 5700xt , but I think that will be around 400/500 euro.

    8GB -> 8GB
    95 -> 112.6

    Upgrading from 1080, I wouldn't even bother looking at anything bellow 2080 Super.
    Spending 400+ euros for +18% FO REAL?
    But I suppose if you really have to scratch that itch...

    In my opinion, don´t worth it at this time.

    Wait to next year, for Nvidia 7nm and new Navi, or even Intel Xe (we never know what they might offer).

    Your GTX 1080 is still a perfectly fine card to run any game, 2020 will probably be the best year to buy something.
