That's because this benchmark is just plain bad... Doing massive overdraws and a lot of screen space effects. That means it is heavily dependent on overall speed of rasterization. Since 980TI has 50% more ROP units than GTX1080, this is the result, which doesn't represent real-world gaming. It also means that (at least pre-VEGA) AMD GPUs will suffer in this benchmark.
1200 core 1550 mem
Did a few runs in DX to take my mind of the tooth abscess I have.
Will not be able to improve on these much so most likely not run this again.
CPU @ 4.8GHz and GPU about 2.0GHz Boost & 11.8GHz memory
1080P Medium = 22802
1080P High = 16296
1080P Extreme = 6158
4K Optimized = 9849
8K Optimized = 4465
I think this engine down to around 25fps still looks like it's quite smooth. Many engines don't look good at these low fps (however, under 25fps still looks bad). The motion blur definately helps. The primary mistake they made for me is the blackboard and chalk writing which is just a texture that we can tell is "fake" straight away.
Here are the scores I achieved, I ran an aggressive custom fan profile for these results, but it only netted me an extra 12-25Mhz (less than 1% performance difference) in comparison to Auto Fan Profile which is a LOT quieter. No point in running custom fan profile on this card, no overclocking differences & not any significant performance boost, just more noise!
Zotac GTX 1070 AMP Edition @1682Mhz Core Base Clock / 2277Mhz(9.1Ghz Effective) VRAM (actual boost clocks of core = 2025-2062Mhz during benchmark)
8K Optimised: 2727
4K Optimised: 6130
1080p Extreme: 3891
1080p High: 10086
1080p Medium: 14039
4K Optimised test looked the best to me with 46fps avg and seemed like the best combination of performance and appearance, looked better than 1080p Extreme in my eyes.
Crossfire Fury TriX/Fury X

Avg: 71.15 fps
Avg: 3.59 fps

4K Optimized = 6004
Image under spoiler tags (wish everyone would just do this). :nerd:
ok against the recommendation by the tool of going over my VRAM limit, i did it anyway
Got a 3738 on extreme with my specs under my name.
I'll have to setup the vive and see what thats like in a bit.
It would be great if we all agreed on what settings to test with, so that we can compare our results. Don't you think guys?
Looks like you are limited by the Vram. Your cards are barely faster than a single Tahiti using the extreme settings.
4K optimized @ 1457-1470Mhz, 7380Mhz
