Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End

^^one of the best games you will ever play.

Looking forward to this, the games have slowed for a month or two now but some good games late this/early next year.

That is some fluid combat and traversal, awesome. This is one of the games why I will get myself a PS4 at some point.

 

Only watched it on my phone, but that looked very very nice, just like the PS3 I can see these games being the reason for me getting a PS4.

Gameplay wise it doesn't look like it is doing anything different though.

 

Cant wait for U4.

As per clip, the gameplay is typical climb here, climb there, kill bad dudes like in all the other U's. Though, for me Uncharted is one those games that I play more for the atmosphere, charm (characters, scenery), story, its got that Indiana Jones feel to it that i got when i first saw the movies back when i was a little kid. Even though Assassins Creed has pretty much the same gameplay (sort of) with the climb here etc, AC to me feels so void of character and charm. I suppose thats why im never bothered by Uncharted's repetitive gameplay.

Gfx looked as I'd of expected from an Uncharted game, though the jungle scenery has never really lent itself well to ND engines for show casing what said engine is really capable of (uncharted 2 and 3 city areas and deserts looked breath taking compared to the jungle sections). Theres really only so much you can do to make an area that consists of green, brown and sky look next-gen besides higher rez textures, sun shafts, fog and foliage.

Still, if this is what ND can achieve so early on in the PS4's life cycle, imagine what a ND game towards the end will look like. I think thats where gamers are giving this video/uncharted game a hard time (going by forums and youtube comments), they're comparing it to U3 of which was a near EOL game for the PS3, ND had two additional games under their belts before they did U3 on PS3.

Guys you need to see this, the youtube videos are crap.
i'm really blown away, if you look closely at the end of the trailer, the level of detailed put into the characters is remarkable, everything looks gorgeous. I dare to say it's the same level of graphics as the E3 trailer. Even the damn spike which he uses to climb has a ring attached to it which has it's own physics.

 

Game looks great. It's my favorite series. I'm slightly disappointed that the same gameplay seems to be there. Climb rock, shoot group of bad guys, climb another rock, etc.

But it's Uncharted. The voice acting, the small jokes, the characters, the story, it will all make up for the "been there, done that" gameplay.

Can't wait. Still cant believe how many people are saying the graphics don't look much better than UC2 on ps3, lol.

Personally, I don't see them going for 60fps, it doesn't really fit with the style of their previous games and would mean a lot of visual compromises and if it's not 60 minimum then there is no point.

Yeah, your second paragraph is what lets the game get away with the comment in your first paragraph. Its like ND know that the game mechanics are really just a means to an end for the sake of telling a story.

 

I remember when the first one game out. Never heard of it prior to release date and just got it because I had nothing to play.

Boy was I surprised. Friggen love the uncharted series.

 

I want it now! This is when i buy PS4! It looks great, plays like old uncharted game with some combat polishing by the looks of it and i bet it has some sweet story too! Pirate treasures by the looks of it?!

I see how people say its quite repetitive but it never felt that bad in Uncharted, then again not sure what else could they add in there!
