I have a little lenovo ideapad miix310 10icr which i have installed linuxmint. But am trying to work out how to install windows back on it. Reason is id like to sell it.
Problem is the bios is not recognizing the usb stick, as it seems to only be efi. The bios doesnt have much in the way of options.
    Please can you help me.

Can you access the BIOS settings, or the boot menu options?
What software did you use to create the Windows installation USB?

What do you mean "seems to be efi only"? You can use Rufus to write cms or uefi image. And on my ASRock 890fx mb usb stick not always can be recognized from first time. Usuaily i have to shut down my PC put stick and then started cold. Can u see your stick in BIOS? Remember latest win 10s require ntfs only. Last time i had to install 1909(as i remember) The latest ones down with error. And i hope u know about Secure Boot)))
p.s in other words i mean try to use windows installation disk in fat32 (21Hx,20Hx not support fat32 as bootable. fat32 limit)

How are you struggling to install windows on a UEFI BIOS?

Its not seeing the usb. I think the netboot might be stuck with a efi partition?
Am not sue if its uefi might just be legacy. i don't know.

I’ll try and upload some pictures in the morning.
Basically the bios doesn’t show any usb drive. But I’ll take pictures tomorrow.
Thank you so far with your help.

There is no option for uefi in the bios, it’s very basic with only a couple of options.
To get into it I have to hold power and volume up to boot into it.

Then you will have to create another USB ISO and try again. If the USB isn't detected in the BIOS that is. If it does show the USB, then simply press F5 or page up key to move it forward and make it the first boot priority.
