Great. I hope they managed to work perfectly on the systems, and not screwing the things up with 3xVM and 2xDenuvo protection.

Hopefully they have a resolution scaling slider so I don't have to choose between 1080p/60 and 4K/30 on a television.
    4K @ 65-75% with 60fps and everyone wins.

    i7 4470 and R5 1600, uhm R5 1500x is about equal to or faster then a 4770. Stupid.

Ill wait for it to be out for a bit and see how it goes. I havent bough a Far Cry since FC3. Which I enjoyed. Ubisoft has been less ubishit lately, which is surprising they are making EA look good. Just need to tone their damn DRM crap down.

@airbud7 Yes it is. 4970k is faster then 1500x, but 4770 not faster then a 1500x. 4770 is just 3.4 base, 3.7 boost on all cores. 4790k is 4.0 base, 4.2 boost all cores. Single core boost really is irrelevant with modern games. my 1500x does better in alot of games( a little bit higher min frame rate) then my buddys r5 1600. Granted I have my ram at 2933 and his is 2400, but I do have mine @ 3.9 and his is stock 3.2 plus boost.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 SLI for 4k@60fps? Really?

Are we really recommending SLI in 2018? Damn Ubisoft, you are really confident in your engine capabilities.

Day 1 sli support is a very good sign :)
If 1080ti isn't fast enough, then sli with 1080/1080ti/txp is the only way.

They can't recomend unreleased Volta :p

Farcry 4 worked fine with sli :)

You say that as though Atmos is a commodity... I personally have a hard enough time finding games that properly support 5.1 surround sound. Meanwhile, Atmos is far more complex and hasn't really been known to anyone until a couple years ago.
Considering how long it's taking developers to transition to DX12 or Vulkan, I would not expect Atmos to get any attention for a looong time.

I don't see the 4770K in those charts...

The real question is, is it well optimized?

Fake/extravagant requirements. Just SSE 4.2 needed like ACO. Not cores/ghz. Sit back and relax.

FC4 ran beautifully on my SLI setup, and it this is still a DirectX 11 game, so what's the problem? 1080 Ti can't maintain 4k@60fps maxed in some new games, so recommending SLI seems perfectly reasonable.

I think recent PC Frostbite games have Atmos support, Final Fantasy XV as well.

Ubisoft games like AC:Origins has it on the X1X, not so sure about the PC though.
I do agree that PC support will likely be variable, the amount of PC gamers who run a PC through a receiver is likely quite small.
I'm not sure there even are any receivers that can deal with high refresh rates.

I'm liking how they listed more detail regarding the requirements for this game, it even looks like I could get good 1080/60 performance with a single 970, never mind 2x970
Advertising SLI support is brave of them as well, It's also rare these days to see 8gb ram in the recommend part.

Min specs don't affect me anymore because at some point i will grab the game on sale then leave it sitting there unplayed on my Uplay account along with FC2/3/4/Blood dragon/Primal, and as a side effect or this and a positive bonus, i have never had one single bug, crash, driver or game issue with any of those games. :p

Easter eggs from 2 of those 3 screenshots, James Lynch and Old Yeller make an appearance in the game.

It will be interesting to see if 4K on a single GTX 1080 Ti (without AA) will be playable or if I'll need to enable SLI. Currently I have SLI off since the games I'm playing now don't need more then 1 GPU even at 4K.

Hey, Thanks Agonist*...I'm still learning the gaming performance gap...I forgot the 4790k was a special breed of haswell....

so 4770(non k) and 1500x are on par with each other at gaming?....Thanks.

From my experience, without OC, Intel CPU are not that amazing for gaming.
I can't get stable frames with my old 2500k@3.3GHz (stock), but once I OC it to 4.5GHz everything is silky smooth. This CPU might be old and less relevant, but its still true if we look at lower clocks CPUs. Games just hate low clocks.

Latest CPUs from Intel are already boosted to high clocks @ stocks, so they might be good for gaming out of the box. (ex: 8700K)

It would be sweet if the boss had some old 2600k's and 4790k's and overclock the heck out of them and see how they really game on modern games....(time-consuming as heck)....would be sweet though...love you Hilbert!...:D

    I love my 2600k(stock).....she's a dam good match with my 480/4G.....Game time...:D
