typical 7800 gt oc 3dmark2005 scores?

    BFG geforce 7800 gt oc
    Im currently getting around 6700+ on my 3d mark 05 scores. Im running on the latest nvidia driver. It seems a little low any comments that can help me out?

    thats a normal score with an intel processor, thats clocked at 3.2.

    intel processor is likely the reason.
    also, i assume you are running ddr2 533Mhz.
    if thats so, be sure to check your ram timings as ddr2 is known to have far worse latency than ddr.

    yea if the timings are too loose.. youre gonna lose some points.. also.. intel's aren't too good at benchmarks..unless your 3.8+

    well, as some kind of reference, i overclocked my msi 7800GT to 450/1100 and i am scoring 7600 on 3dmark05

    yes as you have a athlon64.

    I have noticed 3dmark05 to be heavily cpu limited with a 7800 series card. (I gain 1200 points just from a 400mhz bump on my cpu). The p4 and slow ram will be holding it back.

    7k+ is very good for a 7800gt. 8k+ is very impressive indeed.

    Impressive Sprecker,i feel like i could squeeze out more points with my rig.
    I currently hold the best average fps on bf2 bench267 fps,check out my thread for a link.:)

    im oc at 473/1200 right now and im only hitting 7000. Im not quit sure how to check my ram setting since dell wont let me **** around with the bios. Any clues?

    i get 6900 everthing at stock on my system need to sort my ram timings out and tweak my settings only got my 7800gt yesterday had to cross to pci-e when a power surge wiped out my 68gt and mobo so rma'd them and will sell them on ebay once repaired pleased with 6900 though will get it higher though i think
