    Nice...

... shame it's included in a game I have no interest in buying or playing! :(

Ye, it's always like that. Games you will never play get such features : /

For now, but there are developers that will be using it:

Now devs need to get their #$*& together.

    Remember early FXAA?
Now compare that with Max Payne 3 FXAA implementation <-- no blur whatsoever

Yeah because Nvidia has improved the algorithm a **** ton since then - has nothing to do with the game developers.

You also have to consider the developer of FXAA/TXAA's position on blur. He actually likes the movie cinema blur feel. I also enjoy it - in motion it makes the image look way smoother, it's why I prefer FXAA over other implementations of AA. I also like the control I have over what it does.

FXAA is by far my fav new feature for GPU's in the last several years.

    uhmm I kinda doubt that.
for example latest (driver) FXAA brings mostly text aa improvements,
and you can easily tweak older FXAA 3.11 to kill most of the blurring.

but nvm lets get back to TXAA. I think they should have gone with half of it :)

Amazing! :D But unfortunately any Fermi card doesn't have TXAA support due to HARDWARE limited. ;)

If this video shows what it's capable off, I'm disappointed. There is a huge loss of detail every time they switch TXAA on. Looks to be having the same blurry properties as FXAA has.

Pray tell what Hardware makes it so they can use FXAA?
Timothy lottes said that it could be possible if enough people pester them and ask for it on Fermi.

Also: If you don't care for the blur, why don't you just play with no AA, use the highest -LOD Bias possible and then use a PP Injector and do 200% sharpen.

TXAA is meant to be Film like AA. Which will induce blur. Boo hoo.

Go back and enjoy your pixel crawl and shimmering.

Well, I actually play Secret World ;) sorry hehe.

But, a question: It did state in TSW Patch today that TXAA would now be enabled to use (6++ series ofc), Do i need to install the new beta driver in order for this to activate or wait for some WHQL driver from nvidia ?
As of now, TXAA is not enabled still, so just curious.

    Hope some of u guru's know :)

EDIT... scrap all that, read the article after post and it answered... /Facepalm myself lol.

So...Installed latest beta driver to try the TXAA.

I'll say, it looks slightly better, but takes LOT of fps (The Secret World). On a sidenote, suddenly i can also hear my card 'breathing' heavy for cold air ;) (not clocked).

Below examples of FPS performance at same place standing still and also when moving:

    @1920x1200
FXAA HQ: Still: 59-61 (Vsync 60hz) Moving: 46-54 fps
    TXAA 2x: Still: 45-47 Moving: 30-37 fps
    TXAA 4X: Still: 35-35 Moving: 22-27 fps

Not sure how those numbers will translate when in combat/action and fps probably takes a further beating but....

So, for now i'll be using good old FXAAHQ until new verified driver comes out or i get a 2nd card for SLI to pull it off :)

I don't know if slightly better is worth half the FPS...
Then again, it is how you see it, but IDK MAN. IDK.
