Good thing they're using single-socket 24-core models. Those are probably the most undesirable chips of the modern Epyc lineup. Everyone else is either going to want dual-socket 64c models, single-socket 8c models (mostly for all those PCIe lanes), or opt for Threadripper.
I don't know why any company even slightly dependent on computer processing performance would deliberately choose a lower-performing, often more expensive alternative to EPYC. Seems only logical to use EPYC.
