8 690s produced per week here we come!
Does this mean we'll start seeing a more abundant supply of 680, 670 and 690 GTX parts sometime soon? I hope it does, as it would be nice for those who have been waiting patiently, and are unable to purchase due to the slow supply.
Isn't that anticompetitive illegalness right there?
It should be a "bit" better than what it is now.
Different countries, different rules I guess. Just follow the money trail!
I would dare say TSMC has contractual obligations with AMD to supply a certain amount of product per time period. If TSMC don't meet that requirement, especially for the reason of prioritising a competitors products over their own, AMD could legally seek compensation of some form. It also means they'd be free to get out of the contract move to a competitor FAB, such as (for example) having the APU's done at Global Foundaries and GPU's with Samsung.
Morris Chang and Jensen's friendship goes beyond business connection,
so I was surprised by the level of Nvidia dissatisfaction with TSMC.
Nvidia has good product, and I doubt manufacturing will stop their execution.
Sure, same thing happened before with Lano and TSMC,
but that's why I think Nvidia is screaming BEFORE low supply becomes huge issue.
Contrary to what most ppl believe, Kepler supply is currently an issue solely in USA, which accidentally has the lowest prices.
What are you talking about? Are you freaking insane? How in the hell is choosing what customer to prioritize illegal?! Why would you even think something so...Oh man, you're kidding right. You gotta be.
Why are they getting priority, supposed to be none about as they are selling out on sight, not becuase there is any problems producing them
As long as they don't prevent AMD from competing, then no.
AMD should look at other FABs though as TSMC constantly has problems....
Rinse and repeating a quote I've often used: "With the right handshakes and the right amount of money, nothing is illegal."
Global Foundries making NVIDIA GPU's would be pretty funny.
I keep telling you guys....
Not for all the nVidia fanboys....
