i'm impressed at how high ur vcore is and in comparison how cool your chip is running!!!

Edit: But you should be getting more Gflops than that especially@ 4.15Ghz i think.

It say load 1.7% in realtemp? Looks like all these temp readings are after IBT has finished...:3eyes:

    That changes alot actually ^^
why send us your idle temps tho :p

it still shows min and max temps though over the last hour or so

    Lemme change that. Forums.guru3d.com
Isn't a very nice experience on an iPhone...
I suppose you wanted to share the burntest results...
Btw those Max temps are still pretty good considering you're on air ;)

    true, even i get ~50.2 Gflops/s at 3.6ghz.

    @Matt

Did you try and rerun IBT? well sometimes it looks like there might be a leak and it doesn't stress all the cores right, making lower Gflops/s speed..

i saw this 1-2 times.. got around 39gflops/s instead of 50 and if i stopped the program and rerun it showed the correct readings and higher temps again..

    4.15GHz is nice!

Yesterday I tested 4.15Ghz w/o Hyper Threading, 10C lower temps with same vcore (1.35v) as 4Ghz with HT enabled. I'd guess you could do well over 4.25Ghz with same vcore, and less heat ! Your GFlops would skyrocket, SUPERPI 1M also and FPS in games :)

Hey guys, yeah all screenshots are after IBT has completed, but like Li4m79 said it reports my Max Temps during the burn. The hottest core is the only one i pay attention too 81C

Yeah the GFlops i notices also, i got higher at 4Ghz, not sure what thats all about, hopefully Hunter is correct and i'll see a change next time i run it.

Is my Memory Performance ok though guys!?

Yeah Barton i imagine disabling HT would allow higher clocks, may run with it off all the time, as i believe games dont really use it and it can have a negative impact on framerates or so i've heard.

However for certain benchmarks i need it on to get higher scores, especially Vantage ;)

Im currently just lowering Vcore two notches at a time then doing 20Min Prime Blend if it passes i lower again until failure, in which case i'll up it two notches then do a big 25Run of IBT at Max.

Cant get much done today as im off to work soon for a 12Hr Shift :(

    Cheers Guys

    Matt

Today I tested upping UCLK, the NB Frequency..I've always had it lowest possible (some 3000MHz) with 21x191..but I had two notches higher (3400MHz) ALMOST OK, LinX 20 passes 5000MB gave error (note, no BSOD!) @ round 17-18... Performance wise it made LOTS to memory read, write and especially COPY (1-2MB/s more!). Didn't touch vcore, just upped QPI volts... well..back to drawing board again !

i turned my HT off and Turbo back on and am getting almost 60Gflops!

Ok guys, it seems the lowest Vcore i can go is 1.40000v stable down from 1.41250. Not much of a decrease but a decrease none the less.

Next is QPI/VTT see how much i can lower this, may even try adjusting the uncore first see if i can set it higher than the lowest its already set at.

Screenie of 1.4v IBT Run, the Gflops are also higher this time around.

That is very nice oc now Matt.

I tested the higher NB freq in Prime95 Blend v25.11 (not the core2/core i3/5/7 optimized v26.xx), got one whole loop OK, nearly 10 hours ! Look at the extra ~10% bandwidth in AIDA64 !

It only cost me little more QPI volts (1.3375v), otherwise all same volts as with lowest NB Freq.

There are memory setting in my BIOS that don't stick... I often have to save & exit 2-3 times until I read same values in BIOS
DRAM Round Trip Latency on CHA (also for channel B & C) can show 56-58-59, or 57-58-58 etc (for lower NB freq, for the higher it's ~67-68). I don't know if the values change each boot aswell... When I've had BSOD in testing and check these values I most often see 2-3 different values.

What cooler do you have now?

@Matt26LFC, uncore multiplier is supposed to be 2 x memory multiplier or (2 x memory multiplier) +1.

Cheers dude, come along way from 3.4Ghz unstable ;)

Anyway you mention a particular version of Prime, 25.11 i believe it was, im running 25.8 should i be running the same version as yourself?

Im currently in the process of dropping QPI/VTT at the moment, i'm down to something like 1.31250v gonna test in Prime for 30mins, if i dont get a failure i drop it again two notches and re test. When i finally does fail i'll up it two notches and perform a full 25Run of IBT. But quite happy so far at the moment. One thing i've noticed is that even though im dropping QPI/VTT the NB temp in BIOS isn't dropping! Not sure why this is?

Hopefully by the weekend i'll be fully tweaked and ready to run some benchies followed by at least a weeks gaming before i start to work on 4.3Ghz for higher benchmark scores ;) Though with temps i can see me wanting to watercooling sooner rather than later lol
