I did a virus scan and it found about 6 trojan horses. Is this a big deal? What is a trojan horse exactly? What is a worm too?
they often open backdoors so people got acces to your pc. could even that way give you more trojans or even other stuff. can even keylog steam acount for example or world of warcraft seems be popular target off it mostly. and yes its a big deal
how on earth does one get 6 trojans? If i had 6, i would totally flip out. I would do a reinstall and change all my passwords.
1. Yes and in your case you will prob have to do a reinstall. 2. It's a virus that gets into your system and downloads other nasties like keyloggers, etc. Named after The Trojan Horse of Troy. 3. A worm is a virus that makes copies of itself and uses your PC to send those copies to other computers. Hogs Bandwidth on your network. 4. Basically you're screwed. In future when you're Porn Surfing, make sure you've got your AV running....It helps stop all those nasty Trojans/Dialers etc:smoke:
Lol..self preservation Nod 32 is pretty good imo..small footprint used it to get rid of crap that the big name scanners dont find
Yeah I have used it for a long time but my only gripe with NOD is that it has lousy Spyware detection Sure beats avast or any of those other free AV's though IMHO
You've found anything with the name Norton a huge hog... Please don't pass judgement until you have actually tried it.
Symantec make Norton. The only antivirus I have used from Symantec is Norton Therefore I stand by my comment. I have always found anything with the name "Symantec" in it, to be a huge resource hog. Especially the Symantec updater. The AV you refer to may not be. I don't know. I'm sticking with NOD though.
Man ... you're really off here... Norton and Symantec products are completely different, one is consumer and the other corporate oriented. You may stick to NOD or whatever you like. I'm not some 15 year old kid... so you may or may not take my advice, i really do not WANT to convince you of anything so you can stand by your comment, it's fine by me.
WTF? Go into a computer store and try and find a Norton product without the name Symantec on it. Your statement is partly true but they are not completely different. In case you didn't know, and obviously you don't, Symantec produce Norton. I have no problem with your opinion at all. I like NOD you like Symantec. So what?
