Well if you can't 4-way crossfire, mind if I pay you shipping for the fourth one? :D

On topic though, this is amazing. If the 5870 was bottlenecked when 2 were in crossfire, this is really going to bottleneck. But still give a better boost in performance. If 4-way Crossfire is possible, then that will be a beast.

I am happy to get to play with one 5870 (tomorrow :D)

Question: How you get MSI OC'ing s/w to work on your cards??

Bottle neck is just an stupid barrier, a Roof on the top of the FPS, who cares about Bottle neck when your game runs at 100+ FPS? I always play with Vsync On. soo if my screen gives 60 hz on refresh rate my FPS are stuck at 60FPS. If he can get Crysis runing at rock Steady 60FPS all maxed out with AA and everythign on without stutering, who cares about bottleneck? :|

btw, Congratulations Bodar, your Rig Rocks! :D

Because most games you won't be able to play at 100+ FPS with a bottleneck. Just to get rid of the bottleneck, or lessen it, you need to raise the resolution higher so it's less dependant on the system, and more dependant on the gpu, which the gpu probably can't handle the game at that high a resolution. You want the most you can get out of all of your hardware, but you can't if one piece is too much for the rest of the system.

Bottleneck is terrible. I doubt you would still say it is if you had a pentium d going to a core 2 quad with a 9800. :D

I'm going to use the evga 4-way SLI in a sec. I'll take a pic of the 4 way bridge. Actually looks pretty cool/funny :) Going to switch out the i7 and go for the 3580 xeon. Hopefully that will help boost some performance with these cards.. I believe the resolution for all 3 screens will be 6144 x 1152. Can anyone confirm anything about quad fire? :) Also, the new msi overclocking utility is awesome. I just use it to set the fan speed and voltages. Then I go into amd gpu tool and raise the clocks. You can hit 1000 if you raise the voltage to 1.27v

Guys.. This board is going to be awesome!! Have a good feeling about this with a xeon

Will do!! Noted. Here are some more shots of the test setup. I'll run some on the 52" as well. see how it goes/looks.

    Questions for you guys..

Motherboard: The p6t7 ws supercomputer or the 4-way classified? Which one should I use. Both have 7 pcie 2.0 slots.

cpu: Either the xeon 3580 or the i7 975?

I'm going to mod waterblocks on these cards over the weekend as well. Get some water cooling results before blocks come out on the 12th. I'll post a step by step on how I did it. I'm going to have to mod a fan in front of the vrm. oh, and cant wait to see what happens when I throw in a 4th 5870. Should be interesting. That will be tomorrow. Quad-fire!

So for the eyefinity/tri/quad fire benchmarks I was thinking

    Crysis
    Crysis warhead
    nfs shift
    dirt
    Far cry 2
    Resident evil
    Call of Juarez 2
    call of duty waw
    Lost Planet
    Street Fighter 4
    Left 4 Dead
    Source engine benchmark.. lol!
    3dmark 06
    and 3dmark vantage

Hope that looks ok. Let me know what others I need if any. Thanks and cheers!
