I just upgraded my aged FX990 box to Ryzen...
Okay I was lazy and just swapped out the old mobo (no install) and booted up with Ryzen - after 2 failed boot attempt I was back on my old desktop again and all seems working smoothly. Some drivers have been auto replaced but the win10 activation vanished probably due to change of mobo even I do have a retail version of Win10?! - see attachment!

I want to move Win10 to my M.2 ssd anyway - do I have to install from scratch or can I transfer the system? (sigh)

Please advise coz this is my first time doing this..

    What should I do?

Start from scratch. Make 2 partitions, and save your data always on the second partition, so it is an easier task to reinstall.
Different arch, different hardware, a fresh install always bring something new. Create a system image after you're done.

    Hello again,
I migrated to a Ryzen 2700x with Predator 3200 ram .. all is fine/stable except one thing...
... waking up from Sleep/Hibernate I lose 1 ram stick hence down from 16GB to 8 GB.

Something to do with XMP stability? - same problem running ram at 3000 or 3200

However, ram/system is perfectly stable in games and stress benchmarks like IntelBurn/LinpackXtreme_x64 even running concurrently.

    ideas welcome!

you need to contact the mobo vendor for a bios update.

Okay, Gigabyte released the F5 bios which is fixing my issues with Hibernate/Sleep

Thanks everyone and have a good new year!
