Toshiba has added the MN09 to its NAS HDD line-up, which has a huge capacity of 18 TB. Demand for more storage capacity is growing because more and more data is being created.... Toshiba Unveils New 18 TB NAS Hard Disk Drives in the MN09 Series
Hu ? My first harddisk had a whopping capacity of 20 Mib - yes you read right megabytes ... this was towards the end of the eighties when i spent all my hard earned cash on insanely expensive hardware for my beloved Amiga as far i remember the harddisk alone was about $1K and the controller another extra $1k ( or a bit lower i think ). It was a Seagate ... or Conner ... not sure any longer
5 inch floppies! and then the smaller 3.5 inch I can remember sitting there slotting 10+ of these into a machine to load a program, hard drives lol you had it easy! Weird though as you say initial HDD were 20mb and super expensive I too had one for my Amiga in the late 80s, now here we are 30 years later I have over 10tb on my PC and my phone has 256gb with a 1TB card as well, wonder where we will be in another 30 years
I think WD. Hate to see slowly entering the duopoly. Before we had some real choices, now not so much. All my NAS HDDs are Toshiba, fingers crossed, no complaints.
