Some time ago, I put my RD400 in its box for a few months, because I sold my old computer and was building a new one.
First, after that time I connected the drive to the computer and bam! all data was gone!
I knew about that, that SSDs need to be powered up from time to time, just didn't knew the exact threshold. No matter, I had backups and even I managed to recover the data from it , just to learn if it is possible.
Now, the RD400 is connected to the M.2 slot on my MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. Temperature reported is 45-50 C. But the drive will just act weird.
Sometimes boots normally, sometimes it is not detected. Re-connect it solved the issue, but it keeps on doing that. And when it is connected, the Crystal Mark gives 2500 MB/sec while normal specs are much more higher. SSD degradantion, incorrect temperature reading causing thermal throttling...what could it be?
    Firmware and driver latest versions.

Yeah, glad to share the information (that's the Guru3D way), but not so glad that I have this issue.
But let's turn this in our favour.
There is something to be learn here, and to help others.
Will Secure Erase the drive, and re-test it.
