Tarn the merchant, in torchlight, is selling ID scrolls
^^ I found a dwarf on the 2s floor of the mine, with unlimited amount....
There is no more scrolls from the merchant on the town ....
Look out for the "identification spell", it's useful
Patch, currently only the official site version, Steam will probably handle their own patches and I guess it's the same for other sites like Gamersgate.
EDIT: Linked to Dragon Age Origins at first, fixed now.
Basically it's a full reinstall
backup your saves first !
I've bought the game through the official website, so I have to download this....but the filefront mirror is so slooooooooooooow
EDIT: official forum link:
EDIT2: Huh I had to re enter my key...I probably lost an activation (you have 10 activations if you bought the game from the official website).
Ok, where is the necropilis ?????????
continue exploring the underground levels.
the whole game is basically one huge underground area, divided in tens of levels (with different graphic themes/ennemies), with "waypoint" teleporters that act like checkpoints.
I did few side quests, now I am back on the main ones, so going deeper.....
I think the game patched throu steam today;
no more funny things on the opened windows, or weird flickering while launching, etc
Haven't tried the AA ck if if gets sticky or now, since I am forcing 16xAA bt CCC
Thankfully the patch fixed the issue with misaligned buttons when i played in fullscreen mode. Also loading is much faster
For those who are willing to do mods for this game, here is a preview of the editor that will be released; plus documentation. It's not the editor itself, but it contains lots of goodies related to modding torchlight
Also, this site will be a refence site :
also with this one
char right now .
was goign to post on the screenshots but nr.10 its closed and don't see 11th
More updates on the game.
Editor delayed 1 day
Mod Contest it's up
Decided to grab this one
Downloading on steam now. Maybe they'll toss early purchasers some perks in the MMO. Anyway I need a somewhat mindless game with massive replay value. This seems like it'll hit the spot between the infinite dungeon crawl at the end and the editor.
I think I'll buy and play this instead of waiting for the Diablo 2 patch, I think Blizzard forgot about it. How long is the campaign in this game? Any approximations?
I hear it's only 20 hours but has an infinite randomized dungeon at the end. The randomized dungeon is said to be bland w/o bosses, but that'll change if the mod tools are good. I'd say I'll mod it myself but my art skills consist of dot matrix stick figures. I might try anyway.
Played to level 11, having a blast so far. It's like penny arcade meets fate meets Diablo somewhere between diablo 1 and 2.
I think the UI needs some work especially the merchant screens. Itemization is great but the merchants are cluttered with useless junk. Maybe if they highlighted the ones that had higher armor/dps than your equipment it would narrow it down some. Also the click boxes on monsters need to be bigger because the shift click ranged attacks aren't very accurate (esp on inclines) and I end up charging at the critters.
My inner loot whore is fully satisfied . My alchemist got a lucky drop +8 to crit chance belt (I assume that's good) at level 2 and I love how the attacks bounce around or explode on a crit.
I look forward to future expansions of this game.
eta: aw crap it's 3am lol
Even though I feel like having maybe two of the original creators of Diablo doesn't justify the extreme diablo oriented similarities this game has, I can say this is a refreshing single player experience. This game, unheard of to me, is one of the better games I have played from such a small studio. They certainly have my support and I am excited to see where they take this in the future.
I can only hope that 10 years from now they are as big as Blizzard so they have some competition.
Just finished up with my alchemist a day or so ago and switched to a destroyer.
Man what a difference, everything just plops over dead with devastate. I'm sitting here getting crits for 20,000 damage at level 38 and my weapon is only lvl 24 (800 dps + 600 dps on the offhand 5 enchants each, fighting level 46 monsters). Main quest only took 10 hours with my destroyer compared to about 20 with my alchemist, definitely recommend the alchemist for the first character since it'll make the game longer.
Tip: gamble for rare armor once you get into your low 20's. The armor values are massive compared to blue gear. It's typically about a 1 in 5 or so chance.
