Tomb Raider: Lara Croft Reborn

Oh, and unlike the Lara Croft from earlier games.... they're real and they're spectacular lol

 

When i first heard of the new Tomb Raider game i was like .. Meh..
Bored a few days ago so i bought it and ...

:banana: HELL YESS what a GREAT GAME!

Just finished and Graphics, Lara, Animations, Story all are ace.
at 1080P Highest Settings, 2x SSAA and TressFX i get around:

51.5 min, 93 max and 64.7 Avg! :banana:

Titan kicks ass and running @ 1124/6400 no throttle, stock bios!

Edit: Also read somewhere that ingame FXAA is worse then driver FXAA. With FXAA im getting 67.8 min, 112 max and 83 avg!
So then im going to try out 3D !

 

My favorite weapon, the axe. Lara is one hell of a mean bitch in close-up combat with it. She swings, grunts and splits heads with it in style.

 

Yep! Found myself enjoying melee combat most. It is just easier and more fun to deal with enemies that way when they surround you, rather than trying to get some distance and shoot them.

Holy cow that's a big update 1016 MB. Just kicked in on Steam.
There's some DLC in there as well I'm guessing, anybody know ?

EDIT: Forgot to quote the previous post mentioning the update.

So that should be what it fixes and yeah there's probably some DLC content in it as well.
(Much like Sleeping Dogs to use a example.)

It is great that they are constantly updating the game though

 

The new update was just 9.2 MB for me not 1 GB as per villa_youth.

 

Now if it only wouldn't hard lock my system in exclusive fullscreen mode, the performance sucks in windowed mode. It was 9,2 MB in my case as well.

 

Actually, that would be kind of nice! I am loving the TressFX thus far and have it on to enjoy the new technology the game offers, as well as Lara's extra sexiness. My main complaint is that whenever there are close ups, the hair shadows on Lara's face/head are pretty botched looking. It seems TressFX needs some tweaks, but this is their first go at it. I am sure it will only get better with time!

 

Why the heck was mine a gig then ?
Downloaded it and then Steam decided to download it again when I restarted my machine so it was 2 gig in the end.........thanks Steam :wanker:

 

Tomb Raider just started downloading a 1 gig update for me as well.

 

I think they crippled shadow distance detail a bit, now its changing more frequent in some MP maps.. Not really a fan of that.

 

Yeah,,,... patches are taking too much time ( NON-STEAM)....
