Tomb Raider: Lara Croft Reborn

Steam has not updated the new stuff yet.

 

Does anyone even play multiplayer?

 

I don't.

 

I a little here and there and actually its quite funny, especially melee combat :grin:

 

I found it really good fun.
Repetition in certain styles does me in, so much that I havent finished Crysis 3 yet.
Tomb Raider has more purpose to it, has decent gameplay and the plot is driven on by the pretty good cut scenes, its very engaging.
After finishing it, I keep returning to complete the last few parts I didnt do during the main playthough.
She is fit though lol.

 

Can anyone explain the keypress's for the PC ? I'm like super pissed off right now. It seems quite easy on console from what i have seen on Youtube. But I am not getting that slow-mo prompt to press the right key. I mean i do get it like every 10th f****cking attempt but there is no time to react. and i don't know how to get past this f****king wolf. f*****cking irritating. They should mention on the games stuff like 'optimized for consoles' or something. gosh.....

 

there's like 2 keys you have to press, it really isn't that hard.

 

Don't press it as soon as you see the prompt. Wait for the prompt to turn to red.

 

i cant pass the scene where they tie you and hunt rest of group. they keep seeing me. such annoying, fun breaker part. who ever designed that level deserves a special place in hell.

 

The key is to stick close to the walls. as you move up the path as the 1st guy walks past you wait for the guy in front holding the torch to move away. then move up a couple of steps (stick to the left) and stop again. There is an outburst of dialogue at that point about someone running away. wait for it to end. then move forward again towards a doorway a few yards ahead. There are two walls leading to it. I stuck to the left one and made it.

 

But the problem is the prompt is not appearing on every attempt. and whenever it does, it appears to be red from the outset. Anyway i will give it a go again. Thanks.

 

I really liked this game. A rote story very well told, with great voice acting and mocap and a suitably stirring score. Lara has an actual character arc. It won't win any literary awards but this is a videogame. With a character arc!

Unfortunately I have an Nvidia card and the PC version patches just keep making things worse and worse instead of better. The graphics are actually glitchier and slower now than they were when the game was first released. The official word is that they are still working on the Nvidia problems and will release more patches. If you've got Nvidia graphics and you've not yet bought the game, I suggest waiting until they've sorted out all the problems.

Thank you. I tried my best sticked walls etc. but will be more careful. I dont have this kind of patience these days.

 

About 60% done and started playing it in 3D. Even with low depth it looks fantastic. It stutters a little on Ultra settings but it's worth it. The game is even more fun now :banana:

 

About 60% through, so far I like it. Combating many enemies at once with xbox controller can be challenging as you rapidly switch aim from one target to the next. Was never good at that, but enjoying it nonetheless. QTE events frustrating but once you get the hang of it, no big deal. Highly polished game mechanics, Laras movements, jumping, climbing, etc, very well done. Believable atmosphere to the island, glad to switch away from the tropics once in a while, lol.

Not quite just about Tomb Raider but it does explain a bit about the situation with Square Enix.

 

They need to start looking at more achievable numbers, those figures are way too high even using 80-90% figures.

Either that or they cut the budgets on future games, as while i appreciate the support and time spend on their games, especially the PC ones Square Enix will end up going the way of THQ if they don't make some cuts.

 

I just picked up this game a couple of days ago and am very impressed thus far! The graphics are incredible and I feel like if I go back to games from 2010 or so, they will look like garbage by comparison lol. Lara looks fu(king fantastic btw, and they really nailed the character model with her. Not only is she hotter (imo), she is far more real and has a vulnerability the other Lara Croft didn't have. TressFX is also proving to be quite nice and I find myself checking out not only her a$$ets but her hair.
