Tomb Raider: Lara Croft Reborn

From the looks of it this FTP site hasn't been update in over a year. Is there another site nvidia is using?

 

New update and new drivers coming today, well hot dam - it's Christmas all over again.

 

If it takes a couple days for them to test it out, idc. I'd rather have a working driver than one that doesn;t

 

Anyone else getting horrible tearing with the new patch no matter the vsync setting?

 

You Vulcan nerve pinch him and I'll grab the drivers! - I promise to share them .

 

I only played for like 5 mins but adaptive v-sync is working on my end.

OK here's my 2 cents: the TressFX hair simulation has been toned downa whole lot. It's not as crazy as it use to be. but still looks ok. It still has clipping issues with her shoulders and back of her neck. The shadows around the face, especially from her bangs, still look blocky regardless of shadow resolution I change it too. I am also seeing texture corruption on various spots. Hopefully that will get fixed with the driver update along with the added performance increase.

 

One heck of a driver update people, if your on an NVidia card get the new ones now.

I went from 47fps to 63fps and all the weird graphical effects are now gone (little blocks on skin etc).

 

I noticed that with the last patch; double and triple buffered v-sync would always tear and it became very noticeable if the framerate dropped below 60 fps. Even forcing v-sync in the driver game profile didn't fix. Finally, got rid of it by forcing v-sync and triple buffering in D3DOverrider but I was hoping this issue had been fixed in the second patch.

 

I went back to 718.4 and the issue is gone. This is on a HD7970 btw.

After more testing I found out that using exclusive fullscreen fixes the tearing with the new patch.

Anyone notice there is an ultra preset for shadows now?
I got a really nice fps boost from the new driver, gonna play a little more to test it out
and see what of a difference the ultra shadows make.

 

It's rather nice effect imo, game looks stunning in parts, i like Lara's hair in the dark, ..*Ahem
