Isn't radeon Pro only for ATI cards ?

Any who....you need to go settings and then FPS counter. Settings is the second on the right from the "Add new profile" option.

Still in 2 minds here about getting it, is it worth it, as when seeing those gameplay vids where it keeps coming up of what buttons/keys to press, it just reminds me of the old Dragons Lair, Space Ace games, where all you had to do was move/press the key when it told you to.

 

First impressions are good. This game may not be a screenshot queen due to average textures and lighting, but as others have said it looks good in motion and Lara's hair is lustrous and tangle-free...even after she gets crushed by a boulder.

Maxed out with FXAA, I'm getting full usage of both cards (314.14 betas) and the game is very smooth, save for the occasional odd hitch. I did get a ctd right after escaping the cave. A quick perusal of Steam says it's a tessellation issue, so I'll try again.

Yes, there's a huge thread about it on the Steam forum. Some have claimed a rollback to 310.xx solves the issue. I'll wait 'til the dust settles before chasing the issue as I'll be messing around in ArmA 3 all day.

 

On some of the newer drivers there's a chance of that happening from what I've read, 310 series seem fine though but it's nothing I can test myself.

It is absolutely nothing like Dragon's Lair, you control Lara in third-person for about 98% of the time as she explores and takes out enemies with her bow and other weapons. The QTE bits usually occur during cinematic moments of which there are certainly a few but most last only a few seconds.

 

Anyone saw this issue, with tessellation ?

 

Sorry, no, I didn't but then, given the choice, I'd rather have that bug than total system freezes when using tessellation!!!

What driver version are you using?

 

314.14 + some lite OC on 680. Happens only on close to water, or in water, only with tess on.

 

My Sons PC Kuma 7850 Dualcore with DDR2 1066 run with a 5770 20fps avg with tressfx

I run with my PC 4,1fps avg with i5+460 hawk

I hate Nvidia for support Cuda and give a **** about dx11 directcompute...

That tressfx isnt even so demanding without having a ati card, it runs really smooth everything max with 2x SSAA.

It's definitely one the best titles of 2012/2013. It's one the most personal experience in video games and a lot of games fail to imply this. (this game feel almost like a RPG. Lotta loots :nerd: )
