From Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Tomb Raider is the story that will set a young and resolute Lara Croft on a path toward becoming a global hero. The film stars Oscar winner Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina, The Danish Girl) in the lead role, under the direction of Roar Uthaug (The Wave), with Oscar-winner Graham King (The Departed) producing under his GK Films banner. The film¹s production begins on the heels of the 20th anniversary of the wildly popular videogame franchise from Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal. Tomb Raider also stars Dominic West (Money Monster, 300), Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained) and Daniel Wu (AMC¹s Into the Badlands).
Ugh..... I don't know about this.... I mean, it might be good, it's just that the trailer makes it feel cliche and generic.
I was so excited as a kid for the first movie since i played TR2 on pc all the time. How times have changed. That trailer couldnt be more generic and i have a feeling i wont be seeing this.
I'm sure it's "okey" to watch like any of the reboots these days. After watching this i have a different view on the movie however. The Trailer is not catchy enough. Doesn't seem like there is much CGI at all, just cleanup work.
The BR version will have branching that will allow you to see her wearing different clothes....of course you will have to pay to access said branching. Damn, i better keep my big mouth shut and not give Hollywood any new ideas. lol
She is a great actress, and beautiful too...but many great and talented actors have been in absolutely terrible movies. The vibe is just like the games. People are annoyed that it isn't some guns blazing deal...anyone who played the 2013 and 2016 games knows the feel they are going for. I think it will be half decent...but Alien Covenant looked amazing in the trailers and it was the stupidest movie I have ever seen...so I don't know what to think anymore.
I can't take these female hero characters seriously when they have arms like spaghetti noodles. Go look at the women's crossfit champs - they're beautiful beasts. They've got big delts, biceps, triceps, and lats because they work their upper bodies like crazy. They look powerful because they are powerful. Then look at Wonder Woman or Tomb Raider - it's a total let down. I get that they're playing to the biggest audience by putting models in these roles, and models are expected to be stick skinny, but...
