Thanks! Also talks about other shields... well guess I'll find out soon enough! If I recall I had full FireCrest, full Predator, 5 pc Tactician. So vest for Tac and I'm all... primed up Yes, agent bad jokes is back!
@BangTail are you running in DX11 or 12? Asking because I got a 10+ fps framerate drop when switching to DX12! Didn't expect that as 980 Ti gave about same perf with both. Also got that green flicker bug. Driver 416.94.
@AsiJu DX11 because I find DX12 is unstable (especially when alt-tabbing). DX12 is a little faster though if memory serves.
If you're willing try DX12 and run the internal benchmark and see what fps you get vs. DX11. I was fully expecting some boost with Turing card but got a drop instead...
Great video if you're still not sure what mods to put on your SMG / rifle. You could just print out those gfx on the google drive but he explains it how he got those specific values so you could learn how to decide on how mods work on other weapons. A few days ago, someone asked we when I thought would it would be a good time to use DX12, I told him right around the same time DX13 is released I'll run the benchmark later but I will say that DX11 just feels better, even if DX12 does turn out to be 'faster'.
Just tested it and you are right, DX12 is slower and it also feels 'janky', there is slight stuttering and the average FPS is 5 lower than DX11. That's not counting the fact that it is also prone to crashing. Basically, unless you are constantly running Timespy, DX12 is a total waste of time for the moment. I guess we'll see it's real value when we get a game that is built using DX12 from the ground up, sadly, all the current iterations are games where DX12 has been 'bolted on'.
After going from an AMD fx8350 to the Ryzen 2700x I noticed massive improvements in all games until The Division for some reason, I can run it 1080p + Ultra (or high/v high when the option doesn't have ultra) @ 60fps but that's it, thought I could at least do 2k or something with my RX580 GPU.
Thanks, in line with what I saw then. Yeah especially Division had a complete retrofit of DX12, surprise it got added actually. Division seems to be very GPU bound, your prev. CPU probably was just as good. Monitoring usages sees CPU use hover around 35 % but GPU goes from 70 to 99 % (at 1080p too).
Yeah I guess that's it, I'm seeing GPU usage at 100% so at least it's earning its corn I do have a second card, is SLI better in the game these days? Tempted to give it a try.
I really want to get back into this game but with the sequel 2 months away, I'm forcing myself to wait it out.
At some level, I feel the same way, but the location and season of the original game are more appealing to me than summer in DC and I don't think Ill ever get sick of running around in the blizzard that is survival. I'll just play both
Definitely getting it, so count me in! Will be interesting how summery Division feels, loves snowy environment!
Yeah I was thinking the same, the snow/cold/winter is such a vital element to the game IMO. Survival mode where the cold is ramped up even more is really incredible and I don't see how the 2nd one can do a mode like that.
