    I'm 38, thanks for asking.

That Techspot review is from March, just like the Guru3d review. at 1080p, the 980 is ahead. Undying was talking about current performance anyway, not about how things were 9 months ago. Also, what frequency does that 6700k in Techspot review run? HH uses a 5960, yes, but at 4.3ghz so unless that 6700k is overclocked, I fail to see your IPC argument.

Not to rain on your parade but there is not 290x in those graphs. The 390x has higher clocks and more VRAM.

Its easy to push 290/x to those speeds for the test. And are not 4GB vram limited in this game.

Even with ultra, I barely push 3.2GB vram @ 3440x1440 with my 290x.

An the 980 can be pushe higher still. The point is reference is different and that is what is to be compared to keep things level.

See Undying's post claiming the 290X was already beating the 980 in this game under DX11. We were just proving him wrong again.

At techspot the difference is negligible

Everyone on this forum with Nvidia cards claims their performance is better under dx12 than under dx11. Your chart has Nvidia cards performing better in dx11.

    What gives?

HBAO+, HFTS, PCSS and a few other settings don't work under DX12 but still show as "on" in the settings panel. So people are enabling those settings but in DX12 they are off and falsely attributing the performance difference to DX12. It effects Nvidia more than AMD due to HFTS being Nvidia only and probably the most performance "heavy" effect.

Dygaza with a Fury X for example when from 15 fps difference to 6 when he correctly adjusted the settings.

wait, if those features (HBAO+, HFTS etc) don't work under DX12 surely the game should give better results under dx12, because they're practically off? With them on and working (dx11) the performance should be worse.

Yeah - which explains why users are seeing the increase. ComputeBase purposely didnt use those settings in both tests in order to avoid that conflict. Which is why their results don't match user reported gains/losses.

    Ah, I get it.

EDIT: Just glanced over that article, see nothing about Nvidia specific features being disabled. Am I missing something?

You mean the ONE FRAME DIFFERENCE at 1600? And the 2 fps difference at 1080P High quality OR Ultra quality?

Honestly, survival is some of the best fun you can have (especially with friends).

The game has always looked good and it is easily one of the best looking games out there for PC. Survival is absolutely stunning, the use of lighting is second to none.

The game has definitely had some issues but they actually perm ban cheaters which is something that I wish more companies would do tbh.

what u missing is this, ubisoft cant optimize a pc game properly and the divison is no exception ,to slap a dx12 patch on any games is always gonna be a disaster its gotta be done properly build the game with dx12 from day one , this patch is just a gimmick to sell copies of the game and increase the player base , it was funny this morning i was watch a video about the new amd zen cpu the editor Anthony Garreffa from tweaktown was on and they was talking about pc games and he had some interesting words to say about ubisoft go watch it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHSpgzgL5lQ skip to 41 mins

Will you just stop already. We get it, you hate ubisoft. Now let the rest of us enjoy Division.

    Well idk if its disabled..

DX12, Ultra, with extra LOD 100% instead of 60%

Shadows - high, AO - ultra
    avg 75fps

    Shadows PCSS, AO - HBAO+
    avg 78fps

    Shadows HCFLS?, AO - HBAO+
    avg 81fps

If it were then default shadows - high and AO - ultra should have been faster no?

EDIT: just checked The Division nvinspector profile and I set to 6 frames lol, need to re-test all.. That 81fps looked a bit strange, I use to have 84fps @ "max"

weird. Is it even confirmed that PCSS and HCFLS and HBAO+ don't work in dx12? Gonna google it now actually.

EDIT: Can't find anything about those features not working, some have issues when HBAO+ is enabled in dx12 (everything is dark) but it's ok here. So I'll take Denial's comments as something he fabricated and ignore that chart because as opposed to everyone's experience on this forum, it's showing Nvidia cards performing worse under dx12.

you should sell your pc and buy a ps4 if u love ubisoft games coz if no one complained about ubisoft and includes the divison every game would be locked to 30fps and downgraded ubisoft main focus is ps4 not the pc games , i dont hate them but i wont buy there games anymore not until they change there practices watchdogs was last game i buy from them , and from what ive seen on the divison it looks like console graphics , older games crysis one get a shader mod or gta 4 with enb they still look far better than divison
