i'm currently using 195.94 beta they've been pretty good so far most of the 195's have been rubbish but this one seems to be pretty solid I was using 191.66 before

I usually stick with Quadro drivers (currently 191.78) since my 7800GTX 512MB is basically identical to the Quadro FX 4500, which I assume Nvidia is still supporting since it was only discontinued at the end of 2008 (start of 2009).

Guys it's first choice to use the latest WHQL drivers.

If they give problem, which they shouldnt then you can try special driver versions for your 7800 board. gl

93xxx worked perfect for older games like BF2/ HL2 etc but for newer games those drivers just didn't work well at all for the 7600GS TOP I used to own. The lastest drivers work fine with this card but like someone else said older games have problems sometimes using the latest drivers. It is a hit or miss situation really....

it seems nvidia coded some bugs for gpu older then 8X, drivers are unstable, specially x64 ones, and people are forced to buy new GPU.

I remember i upgraded my rig when 181.22whql driver version was released. Its was a dual core rig with 7600GT and 2 gigs of ram. I had to get this rig to my office so my accountant could use it. In my free time in the office i play some games which i had loaded then. The are quite stable and no bsod's. I don't intend to upgrade the drivers. They are just perfect.

I have a Geforce 7950GT AGP and the best Driver is 175.16WHQL, the best performance and stybility. I tried all other driver and also 195.xx and also 97.73, 94.23, etc. All Driver
from 18x.xx have a very bad performance with my card. The Driver 97.73 and lower do not recognize my card and you have to change the Device number ( BR02 2E4.01 )but then OpenGilde aplication do not recognize your card but it works.....
For my Geforce 7600GT AGP the best driver is the 94.xx from Riva Tuner (not WHQL ), it is much better ( more FPS ) then the 175.16 for the 7960GT AGP
