AFAIK, piratbay was sold and the owners intend on making it so that everyone has to purchase or some type of payment program so its all legal now. i was reffering to the site and its popularity, it is more than obvious to anyone that various torrent sites will always be around till something more advanced comes along but TPB as we know it is dead, update your bookmarks.

Theres a light poll near my driveway with a box (not locked or anything) has a tiny Y splitter in it, all i had to do was screw in the cable. $50 HA.
Share Reactor seems to be gone too TPB will start charging huh? Isn't that exactly what torrents are against? If people are going to pay, wouldn't they just pay for the legit software? *sarcasm* it worked out really well for Napster too didn't it ?
If they are going to charge, why use it at all, why not just use mega upload and rapidshare. I mean, sure, people would rather spend $10 a month to download hundreds of dollars of software. But if you're going to pay any ammout why use torrents at all? I always figured torrents were the slower free and easy alternative to those premium download websites.
No, BitTorrent is just a method for file sharing and distribution. It will ease the load from the main server.
I use xtremespeeds now as it is easy as hell to maintain a ratio i got a 6. something ratio cause they have a crap load of free torrents and 2x torrents where the download counts but the upload is doubled and then the great free and 2x up. Gets me why ppl there whine cause they have to donate to remain safe I never had to donate a penny. Also Demonoid i love for my comics but I can not get a good ratio on there as I see no free torrents and nothing srtays hot for long. So in the end I hit Up mininova for most my crap or H33t.com,BTjunkie. The powers that be TPTB is a good site too cause all the major game rippers or direct play makers are there nowlike TOED,Blaze69,Gfreeman and such If only AxxO would return.
