I have 1920 x 1080 144Hz screen ,hence the 1920 x 1080 Physx benchmarks. Just to clarify it is extremely hard to get every kill/blowing up stuff ETC with 5 minute frap runs in game exactly the same each time for Titan X and Titan X + 970 GTX .YMMV. Neither setup was able to run AC4Blackflag/Metro 2033 Redux/Metro Last Light Redux without 100% stutter free. May be of interest to some. Data table for easier reading For anyone interested Frametimes for all benches with fraps viewer. http://www.mediafire.com/download/g9xhyq7x9ladt24/Titan+X+Frametimes+With+Viewer.7z
No 100% stutter free = no pure-smooth motion (some games - Metro 2033, Metro LL, TDU2 (except TDU 1 - only 91 Hz )) - can you understand better? I benchmarked Metro 2033 running Win 8.1 x64 but randomly big stutters. I tried to install Win 7 x64 SP1 but still stutters = bad optimized.
I think Metro games are fine and optimized good.As long as your not running SSAA4x it is fine EG:Metro 2033 Redux 144Hz v-sync
If your running the original release then yes, Metro 2033 was a little unoptimized. But the Redux versions are amazing and I have zero issues with these games with SLI 970's even using SSAAx4 I still get over 120fps.
Come on man 120FPS with SSAA4x.I never even hit 120 Max FPS at 1920x1080 on the Titan X card,nor did I with 980SLI/970SLI blah blah blah.
Could you also bench Cryostasis? http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=306033 And MKZ :nerd: http://physxinfo.com/news/2841/mkz-gpu-physx-benchmark-version-2-2/#more-2841
Very interesting. If is possible for you to downclock the 970 or use a slower GTX card as the physX card? I want really want to know at what point does a dedicated PhysX card loose its value? Great job in any case.
Sure no problem. Ran each benchmark 10 times for both setups.There was no difference in benchmarks. 1920x1080 resolution Cryostasis I did not see any higher FPS than my refresh rate 144Hz when benchmark was running.Did not figure out how to turn off V-sync. Core Clock on Titan X for both setups stayed 1463 core. Spoiler Titan X Titan X + 970 autoexec.cfg used Code: g.benchmarkloop 0 r.shadowmap 1 r.shadowmap.omni 1 r.shadowmap.projector 1 v.gamma = 32 v.sx = 1920 v.sy = 1080 r.sky = 1 r.softshadows = 1 r.motionblur = 1 r.cameramotionblur = 1 r.diffusemap = 1 r.normalmap = 1 r.specularmap = 1 r.waterreflection = 1 r.waterenvreflection = 1 r.view = 40 render_vfx = 1 r.viewkoef = 1.000000 hitfx_lifetime = 18 r.shadermodel = 4 r.anisotropic = 16 r.antialiasing = 1 r.vsync = 0 r.fur = 1 r.postglow = 1 r.caustic = 1 r.aspectratio = 1.600000 map benchmark MKZBenchMark Both setups Titan X core clock ranged from 1001 to 1463.MIN/AVG/MAX all fluctuated. Min-1fps-30fps Avg-82-88 Max does not matter I guess. Spoiler Titan Titan X + 970 greenshot Sold all my old Physx cards. 970 GTX only downclocks to 951 on the core so no real difference. I will ask a buddy to drop off a 750Ti I sold him,but there's a catch going out of the Country for a week or two in a few days.So it may be a bit before I can do some benches but I will try.
I have Metro 2033 original but not Redux. Metro 2033 original hasn't SSAA support but up to 4xMSAA only.
For giggles I gave Cryostasis Tech demo a run I use a 9800gtx+ for hybrid physx. Ill bench an physx game that works. Sadly the redux metro games dont work with hybrid damn it. After MKZ is done installing. Ill do the tech demo again with software physx vs hardware physx. Here is Cryostasis. Max settings at 1080p with hardware physx. With Software Physx
I love that hybird physx with AMD shame Nvidia blocked it.I still ran r9 290 with 680GTX it was fine but a couple games did not work correctly even with hybird.
Whats funny is the hybrid patch will work on the newer physx but physx 3.0 still wont work with it. Only older 2.XX games work. Its a shame nvidia did it.
^ Yeah they locked anything physx3, also in driver level.. heh kinda lame imo. Thanks! I also benched both, but MKZ is a bit weird.. had to check around in folders a bit to see proper number for 1080p its no# 25. And same here it didnt boost much, it was mostly ~ 1006mhz, max boost 1189mhz (I had real 1228mhz) This is almost at end of bench, every time I pressed MSI AB screenshot it goes to main menu lol min 31 avg 118 max 197 Yeah min fps is also all over the place, one time 5, another 21, now 31.. Guess its not really a good benchmark in the end.. Cryostasis- stock gpu 1006/boost 1150mhz Oc'ed boost 1228mhz; ram 3105mhz min 62.2 avg 100.6 max 226 Not bad vs TitanX , but from what I saw very old hw physx2 games/benchmarks are mostly cpu bound.. btw PLA dx11 is also one of them if you have the time http://downloads.guru3d.com/Chinese-Unreal-Engine-3-DirectX-11-Benchmark-download-2932.html
Too old benchmarks because we may get CPU bottlenecked - not right scores at 1080p because my 780Ti gets only low GPU usage despite PhysX accelerated. @gerardfraser: I got 94 fps AVG (min 21 and max 192) at 1080p with high preset running Win 8.1 x64 with i5-2500K@4.5GHz and GTX 780 Ti Classified. I can beat you?! lol
LOL This is going to sound weird.I hit my 200GB Limit for the month and went over.So I am done downloading anything for a couple days until it resets.Sorry then I am leaving the Country for a bit.I will try to get it done before I leave. Great stuff man,nice computer you have there.
Ok cool, np A score is a score, what's the matter you scored low and don't want to post? Btw its just legit as any of your personal selected benchmarks. You know as they say "deal with it"
Cryostasis - bench/demo (not full version) Running Win 8.1 x64 with i5-2500K@4.5GHz and GTX 780 Ti Classified@OC version-stock (347.88WHQL-HQ) Total time: 80.672 s AVG: 121.7 fps min: 61.3 max: 240.0 --> at 1080p@16xAF with all max settings NOTE: autoexec.cfg isn't used for demo.
I have 300GB limit with my cable internet. My cell phone doesnt with tethering. I use my 4g LTE on my phone alot to do big downloads. Sometimes I use 200GB a month on it. I used 500gb in two months using my phone when I lost my entire steam drive. I have 116 games in steam. I can always run my GTX 650ti in a system with AthlonII X4 640 @ 3.5ghz, 6GB DDR3 1600 with or without 9800GTX+ for physx. Hell I can do HD 3870 512 with hybrid physx for the giggles. I even have a Phenom X4 9550 @ 3.1ghz with 8GB DDR2 that I could test as well.
