    What is the best timer to maintain stable frametimes? i don't care about max fps, i just want a good frametime in all of my games?
    Tsc? Hpet on?

    this so many times, dont mess with system timer, your more likely to just create issue.

    messing with timer is last thing to try with system with issue.

    I went down this rabbit hole once before, and really it does not matter at all. Unless you are on some old hardware. All modern CPU's will basically default to the lowest timer, unless an application is specifically programmed for a different one.
