Time to get Starstorming the official 61.76's!

Time to get Starstorming the official 61.77's!

Finally another official nvidia driver to storm! Time to get to work on the new official 61.77 drivers. X-pect the X - Q - B versions to start showing up because over the next week or to i wil be beta testing the starstorm versions of these drivers at my lan party's.

X-pect: more performance in the X drivers
X-pect: more Quality in the Q drivers
X-pect: higher benchmark scores that the original nvidia drivers can handle.


As well as a few other things i'm going to add.............

 

how about adding a fix for the Joint Ops skyline bug, heh heh.

I didn't updated my drivers(latest starstorm) with the many betas around or the latest official set cause I've been waiting for this ones thx Xaero and keep up the good work

to each his own...... I see by your specs you shouldnt even be affected by the bug, if you even play JO at all.

If needed I can do some Beta Testing for you.
And as you know you can upload them to my Server
One good news is that I am ordering my own dedicated server so if you want a website of your own let me know and I see what can be done to do so.

hey xaero theres another forceware on the nvidia website 61.77 what about this driver can u starstorm this drivers

 

The 61.77 drivers are the same as the 61.76 drivers except that the 61.77 drivers support sm3.0 in the inf file. Xaero can enable sm3.0 in the 61.76 himself.

 

also the 61.77 is now support the directx9.0c so i think 61.77 is good for starstorm

Hehe even newbs know about the SS line of drivers. Well I am back out of the cave to get the info. on the latest SS driver hope there the same like I used to have them back in the 50series drivers, hehe had to move on since new games came out, don't forgot about us Far Cry folks out there make that game even more better.

Xaero, i did some testing with 61.76 and 61.77 on my rig (look right). I did the test on IL-2 (openGL) and FarCry 1.1. With 61.76 i have 32~33 FPS in Farcry 800x600 all at maximum, and with 61.77 i have 28~29 fps, same resolution and same quality. In IL-2 FB AEP with 61.76 I have ~80 FPS (1024x768) in openGL and with 61.77 I have ~42 FPS with the same setings.
The bad thing is, that with 61.76 i get BSOD.
With 61.72 I have the same performance as 61.76, but no more BSOD.

 

Any news?

 

I've never used StarStorm drivers.
From a performance standpoint, are they worth trying?

 

i find that not only do the SS drivers make the image look better, i dont think i lost any proformence. Nothing to gain proformence except with the SS -B drivers
