So my cousin in last 2 year got in PC game he has his dads, old I5 8400 and Nvidia 660gtx, and he realizing none of the new game really work and are crawl like New CoD. and he want 60fps and medium to high. despite him telling me he has 200hz monitor now

I told him all about the issue with cant find card and when you do there way over priced/scapled, my Own 1070ti which Payed 450 for I seeing for upwards of 750$.

He asked me about 1650 which he saw for 450+ I recommend against seeing it entry level even though it most likely is better then that 660gtx it was being sold for double it actual price . I saw amd 570 for roughly the same price which just as old but better but old tech, but again over priced. and I all card are next time possible to find at this point so he might as well just try get one new card at MSRP price via some Notification when they come in stock.

So I recommended A 3060gtx 12gb for him IF he can find it and Told him to go to like Evga or Asus sign up for notification to stock. he not gona get luck like he did with ps5 and friend telling him at midnight there stock go and order now with this.

think a 3060gtx 12gb should be good enough? i know performance wise it better then my card is few things. he said 350-500 is range but he was hesitant about that 500$ range.

At least with 3060 you get rebar, dlss and ..possibly a bios flash to unlock power limit, with the right hardware of course.
In these times a 3060 is about all you can hope for, apart from 3090s which are kinda near msrp. I never been amd so i can't really comment there though i'm looking forwards to their next series.
It's wise to get 30 series at this point in time, especially with rebar.(even if you'll only use it on your next cpu upgrade down the line).

500$ for a 3060 ? that is a good deal in this age. But those cards sell for about 1000$ where i live. Also a 4GB RX570 or RX580 and or a 6GB GTX 1060 could be some second hand options if he chooses to go that route.

wast a 3060 I saw for 500 what I saw was amd 570 more like (475$)which think is pricey. and old

I kind told him to just trying find 3060gtx 12gb he can and get for 350$ but I think he just want the card now

But 1650 is horrid idea if he want to play 60 fps new games doubt that thing would push that on anything but low/medim and he want 60 fps and ps5 quality textures

So my cousion bougt this pc he payed 899$ though so i guess they had sale.

Yah the 3060ti is fault card was hiting 90c+ and fan was not running, first time he said it hit 105c accord to windows taskmanger I had him get MSI ab and it hit 90+c with out fan running and he told me it was smelling like something is burning. he was also say when fans turn on the fan where running 1700-2000rpm and it was ridiculously loud.

he had this card in the system from what he was telling me. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08G-P5-3663-KR

Unless Evga was hand out different 3060ti to prebuilt system makers but that only evga 3060ti I aware of with 2 fans,

that pc also seem to have issue with it nic so last i heard he is sending it back to newegg

Lucky to find such card with decent specs unlucky with fact 3060ti is fault and so might be nic.

Wonder if pay so little cause it was some how refurbished? but highly doubt full that 3060ti was refurbished.

He was not fan of fact new GPU fan dont run till they hit set temp he is like me perfer it always running by defualt card behavior
