Until i get the right cooler either zalman or nv5 this took care of the hot card

It's a 80 mm fan in the bottom of the case, with an cardboard duct feeding cool air to the cards stock cooler. It went from 82+ under load to max 79 under load.

    pretty cool tip.
what i did was take out the metal tabs for my unused pci slots at the back and made a box with a fan in it and got the fan to suck in air right by the open slots....then at the front of the box i made the bottom blow air forward and the top of the box blew air right onto the fan.
works pretty well. the box just devides the incoming air so it half or more gets blown to the video fan and and the rest of the air gets blown through the case for circulation.

    I will suggest you the "nV5 rev2"
My temps goes from 58-60 idle to 46-50 and full load from 78 to 58!! :D :D :D

well i might get the nv 5, 2. But the vga silencer i had on my 9800xt (same concept) got filled up with dust fast, and was hard to ckean. the zalman (the only one for 6800 cards) does not get that dirty, and is easy to clean + i have read an article, where the results between the two were identical.

the top box is a air duct for the cpu to get cold air.
the side opening was when i had my old mobo, i had a tray slot to get cold air form outside to cool my graphic card.
blue arrows mean cold air direction

btw my temps are idle: 49c core and 34c ambient
