    Sounds like a good plan.

Like I said, let me know if you open up an online website, I would be very interested in working for you.

I think you should just have a really nice coffee shop diner, with an LAN arena area to add entertainment value.

Well i would definately go there, i'm taking Business Studies GCSE exam in two weeks(end of two year course), and i had to do a feasability project for a business(i did cafe, as it was easiest) But i've learn theres alot of factors to consider i must of done a 30 page report thing on it. When my exams are over at end of June i'll look at all the things we had to consider.
    For Now:
±Traffic Survey how many cars pass a day(count one or two days and estimate), and at what times(make a few groups), take into account may count same car twice.
±Pedestrian Survey, same as above but count pedestrians, these will help marketing scheme.
±Analyse the Competition, how is your business going to be better
±Work out opening times and staffing numbers, for peak times.
± Profit estimates, how much you think you will sell a day/month/year and your expenditures.
±Location analyse the best location, ideally one where people will see it.
±Advertising, how are you going to do this? Attract Attention
±Start-up finance, Where will you get the money from?
±Ownership, Sole Trader? Partnership? LTD.? PLC?(these two will be for future)
±Market Research, Go to the other internet cafe u mentioned, ask the people what they would change if they could, what they like etc. Maybe hand out some questionaires.

After my exam i'll show ya what sort of stuff i did, but until then i can't let people see my work.
    ^^^Not to shabby for a 16yr old? :D^^^

dcx_badass... your only GCSE level, trust me you've got about 20% of the stuff you need for doing a proper business plan but at GCSE it's very good! What level you predicted for? And good luck in that exam! I've got my A/S level in two weeks too.

Going into business is difficult, your competition is going to be the main problem because they have all the advantages. You have a good USP going (Unique Selling Point), you offer much more than just a shop front, and this will help because that's the reason why people come to you as opposed to the competition and it will make you stand out. Good luck.

it has been proven that sex is the oldest job in the world
so of course it sells more....so why not open a SEX SHOP? :D
i'd open one myself if i could.
but if a computer shop is what you want then go ahead
and i wish the best of luck, it's great. :)

Yeah, you would if you could ;)

The topic at hand here is a Computer Shop

Good luck by the way man. A good idea perhaps would be to offer something different than other people....like packaged deals perhaps...to set yourself apart (just something to think about)

    Edit again...

I see you have already been thinking outside the box. Sounds cool :D

Hehe, sex does sell. If computer guys like anything more than hardware, its hot girls with booty lol. I know plenty of girls at UT that are very hot, I already thought about hiring them :)...but its more important that I have people that know a lot about computer hardware over large breasts.

Icebird - were you working in a sex shop before? :D
i guess it didn't pay well or what? what memories?

anyway it was just a joke. i'm very shy so i doubt i can even
enter a sexy shop. the local computer shop idea is a very good one.
especially what you've learned from guru3d apply it to the goods,
for example overclock XFX cards with modified bios then stick
the card in the box without anyone noticing, when the guy
have problems later he'll come to you and you'll bring back the card
to it's default setting and it'll work.

    this has 2 effects:

1 - you may sell the card for higher price (pretending its a higher speed modell)

2 - when the card is back and you make it work, you will look like
the guy that knows it all. :mhp: hehehe

the devil is at work here. at least if you want $$$

The third effect is that you will quickly go out of business prolly because your con-artist reputation will destroy your credibility...

I dunno what starbuck you go to... but no cute guys ever ask me my name. Kinda breathing a sigh of releif.
The last time i visited a starbucks, i was a young, impressionble young kid. I ordered an overpriced water.

Woodmaster, have you though of specs for the rigs? That would be the most fun part IMO, building them all.
