Hi, I have upgraded to 13600kf with new mainboard, cooler, ... and dont have a new GPU yet gigabyte z690 ud ddr4 [new] be quiet dark rock pro 4 [new] gtx 1080 with Accelero Xtreme IV [old] distance from pci 16x to cooler: ~2cm distance from gpu pci to backplate end: ~2.5cm Ok, so my cpu cooler is too wide the pci slot is too close to the cpu socket the gpu cooler on backplate is too fat Lets assume I want to buy a new GPU. How can I check which GPU has a backplate, thin enough -> less than 2cm? GPUs usually give total thickness. Can I assume ALL GPUs with non-custom cooling have a backplate less than 2cm?
Yes most backplates are a few mm thick only weird 1's like yours are thick lol been a long while since i saw 1
Your GPU has the Arctic Accelero Xtreme 4, it came with a giant backplate to cool the VRM and VRam. No GPU has such backplates, it was a thing for aftermarket heatsinks.
