It isn't completely useless, I mean if you have a case with bad airflow AND a power hungry toasty GPU (without a blower style cooler) AND you are seriously overclocking your ram (1.45-1.5v and upward) AND your ram type is less stable when they're hot (45-50°c and more), it could be useful... OR you could just add a fan.....
My B-Die memory overheats and throws a single error every few hours. It can do 4000C15 @ 1.5 V, but I need to run 4000C16 @ 1.45 V to reduce the temperature. The case has airflow, but it varies based on liquid temperature, which isn't enough to keep the memory cool. The only way used to be a custom loop with memory blocks, but this AIO is now a viable alternative.
You are right but you just confirmed what I said...Samsung B die don't like high temperature, you're using relatively high voltage (for ddr4), if you have a rad (+ a dust filter ?) on your intake fans, your air flow won't probably be amazing either... Your computer represent perfectly the use case scenario for which this kind of product make actually a lot of sense.
