Thermalright HR-05 SLI on a LanParty Ultra-D

    Just got my new chipset cooler installed... Thought I would share my experiences with you guys...

    First of all it is SWEET!!! Ok, got that out of the way... :angel:

    Didn't like how "loose" feeling it was on the chipset. You can easy move it around, even after clamping it down... But It seems to be making good contact. I put on some AS5 and it works really well!

    Idle temps around 40c and load around 50c. This is a big improvement over the 45c idle and 70c load!!!

    Now you have to keep in mind, that my 7950 (still air cooled) is sitting right above the chipset and it puts off massive amounts of heat. Having said that, once I get that puppy watercooled I expect those chipset temps to come down some more...

    There is plenty of space between the back of the 7950 and the heatsink, and while it looks like the power tap on the mobo is blocked, it isn't...

    Thanks... Yeah got it setup. Generally have it open in the afternoons after work... ;)
