Days are getting near.. can't wait, will be interesting to see what it will look like with ultra graphics.

It's good their summarizing the intro a little bit, I don't know the story all too well. Played a bit of W2 but that was all.

 

I thought the original size was said to be 50GB? 26GB tells me the textures and assets are taking a hit.

You keep defending the PC version like you work for them or have stock in the company. I don't get it. There's an obvious downgrade, there was a delay to make the game manageable on consoles. There's an obvious ignorance to the PC version as they did nothing to improve upon the console versions other than cash a check from nVidia to throw in (performance killing and sure to be buggy) gameworks effects.

It's very obvious this game was thrown on PC to make money off nvidia and make a few dollars off the honest non-pirating pc gamers. Minimal effort because they expect minimal returns. So people that say the devs obviously don't care about PC are right. They did nothing out of their way to make the PC excel other than nVidia effects that got them another pay check.

This is ubisoft all over again. The game has been downgraded and the devs have shown their true colors. Which fine, make money, it's a business, but be upfront about it. Did the bullshots really help them? Like we wouldn't notice? Seriously. They shot themselves in the foot.

 

I wonder when the Steam pre-load will be up.

as far as the whole downgrade, and the controversy surrounding it..
is it BS? absolutely.. but it's not a deal-breaker for me.

I've always been a gamer who cares more about gameplay/storyline, mechanics and fun rather than graphics...

as a diehard veteran battlefield player... where has graphics taken that franchise?
absolutely no where... it comes down to core gameplay and fun, and the new battlefields are nothing but spam-fests.

 

Can you perhaps take some ritalin or something? Its a frigging video game, and this is probably the 12th post of butthurt now from you about this.

Calm down. Life is still going to continue.. people will still buy the game, people will still enjoy the game, and these types of posts change absolutely nothing other than to annoy others in the forums when they are posted over and over again.

I'd really like to be able to participate in this thread and discuss the game without some of you getting up on your soapboxes and talking doomsday chronicles. Is that too much to ask?

And Harkin, downgrade confirmed you mean based on the 13mb or what you mean?

 

Damn GOG Galaxy is slow, its loads faster just to download directly from the website, by a factor of x10-x40
