Scooby - like me you're probably playing at 2560 and there's no way 2 * 970 in SLI can get 80fps min at that res. I actually had to turn down 2 of the settings to hold 60 fps MOST of the time. You and I have almost identical setups.

77 hours here to complete at highest difficulty, and I tend to be a rusher.

I didnt want to rush, but at the end I just wanted to see the story and didnt stop to do extra quests, also skipped every contract from the beginning, as I was quite weak for them (just started, adjusting gfx and such, went to novigard too early, at lvl 2... so I just kept with the easy non-kill things).

15 Hours ? That's pretty ridiculous. Why would you want to rush through such a good game that has so much to offer. I think my games of gwent have probably lasted longer than his entire playthough.

Ah okay, yeah I've been seeing people claim to be getting 80+ but I am playing at 1440P.. I figured at 1080 I could easily expect to be getting 80 or higher, but yeah, 1440, not so much.

I'm still holding out hope that drivers support will get a bit better over time. Would be nice to get to use reshade without losing 5-10 fps.

Wow, how do you do it? I get max 55-65fps at 1440p everything except Grass on Ultra (Hairworks off).

Definitly personal experience. Don't get me wrong, I buy a boxed copy maybe two/three times a year max :) I love Steam and wish I had everything there.

meh, only getting 25-30fps at 4k, was gonna try playing for a bit but it feels like playing on a console Potatobox with that framerate.

    Im at 1080p

If I jump to 1440p DSR its 60fps locked.

If I jump to 4K DSR is around 45fps but I cap to 30fps for 4K and disable vsync.

I have everything on Ultra and Hairworks on ALL too.

Maybe having an i7 has something to do with it, SLI loves more cores and I now have my 4770K at 4.8GHz not 4.5GHz just not bothered to updated profile on here. The game does indeed make use of all 8 threads too around 40-70% load.

Yea that in game sharpening is completely hideous!!!

Turned that crap off instantly as soon as I applied it, it just makes everything look crap. Why they included it is beyond me!

Well, take a look how textures are more detailed with sharpening. I guess you just like blurry images.

Depends on your monitor. In general the sharpening makes textures look a lot more crisp. I can't play without it on high otherwise everything looks way too bland.

They included it for this very reason. See the above image.

It all depends on how good your eyes are, or even how your screen is set up, but sharpening, edge enhancement etc have always been a no go for me.

Personally that second screen looks like a noisy mess to me, jpg compression is likely exaggerating it, but fake detail is always going to look like fake detail.

I suppose it's handy when using alot of post processing AA, but it was annoying not having an ingame option to disable sharpening in The Witcher 2.

    I have sharpening at low.

Off is too blurry, high is too sharp.

Hit an invisible wall. That island in front of me, with the trees... Tried to swim to it. The game wouldn't let me. Immersion. Broken. :(

EDIT: Finally done in Velen and sailed to Skellige, after 74 hours. Will still have to go back to Velen to finish off a couple question marks which are too high a level for me still, I'm lvl 20 now.

Skellige seems a lot smaller than Velen, but stunning!

    Oh, the memories :D

Seriously though, at times the game looks absolutely stunning.

I do say it's missing some atmospheric effects, but such is the price of open world...
