Okay so locked it to 30fps, on medium-high with Hairworks turned on, and haven't seen a drop below 28. The only issue is that the horse riding feels a bit sluggish, and you notice its on 30fps instantly. On medium 900p constant 60 fps.

Hmm interesting, i really would prefer 50-60 fps but if 1440p is at 30 fps with abit if detail turned down, i would definitely consider it.

Minister, are there many jaggies at 1080p on High with AA on? Does 1440p make a noticeable difference???

Hopefully we get a good CF profile with the new drivers this week. 60 fps with a mix of high/ultra should be no problem then. Game looks very nice.

Scaling looks really good to be honest. AMD are just extremely slow when it comes to drivers as you know. We should have one already.

If you read the guide and see the differences in GeForce.com, most settings are completely fine at medium actually. If you forsake HBAO+ for SSAO and set everything on high except the two settings above (except textures), you'll get a nice 45-60 fps with vsync.

The game feels really smooth here.

I can't stand aliasing, and this game runs nicely at a locked 30, so for now I'll play it like this. The downsampling along with the games AA does make a difference.

The game certainly doesn't look as good as I expected. I have to cap to 30FPS so that's a let down.

Well it's either overclocking and aiming for 60fps or downclock and lock@30fps.

Half a kilowatt of heat just for graphics in the middle of the summer is disgusting, not even an option.

OTOH 30fps perfectly vsynced, with game controller is pretty sweet

I wouldn't manage 60FPS even overclocked. It's a lot like Assassins Creed Unity. You lower settings but gain about 2FPS!
    HairWorks is a joke.

I must say the game from the first area runs okish. Get about 80+fps when using AFR but shadows flicker. With a proper crssfire profile and some driver tweaks I should expect it to work much better.

Oh and BTW I'm playing on 2560x1440 and on high graphics with all nvidia effects turned off.

Ah, once again CF sadly does not work.

Forcing AFR is highly effective in terms of scaling for me but some characters/objects become blindingly white/bright and flicker, it's not playable. I hope AMD releases their driver soon or perhaps somebody is lucky enough to find a profile for a different game that solves the flicker while still providing some scaling. I've tried a few but so far it's either bright, epilepsy-inducing flicker or negative scaling.

Is anyone running the witcher 3 on the modded Win 10 drivers? Performance better than 15.4?

Hairworks is good, you need a crossfire setup for it to run at a stable framerate. Even just on Geralt its an easy 5-15fps drop. Already being forced to play on 30fps so thats gonna be off for me. Took some screenshots.

Also after medium the higher settings have diminishing returns. Hell even low vs ultra the noticeable difference is HBAO and sharpen.
