I just hope we don't get another Fixer video instead of a proper driver because of it :D :p

290 and 980 both play the game 40-45fps at 1080p without hairworks. Hairworks cripples the game on both cards. Go play and stop complaining guys.

Lol. The performance of hairworks sucks dispite being nvidia or amd similar to what happened with tomb raider.

Well with my system the game uses all the gpu, cpu dont get in the way. Contrary to what pcgaminghardware told that the game was light on gpu and that it was all about cpu, well I deny it.

The game locks up my gpu to 99-100% of gpu usage, my cpu don't bottleneck nothing.
Difference in performance between medium and high are short in performance but the water is much better.
Low settings give us a better boost altouth too short too, removing all post effects let me have the game at 45-50. Altough looks dumb.

So I had choose high preset with hairworks and hbao+ off.
The frame rate goes between 25-30s on w8.1.
Using w10 gives me >30 with the same settings.
Ultra without nvidia stuff gives me 24fps.

The only thing I complain is that I don't have any stutter but it feels that while turning my char looking around I feel like there is a microatuttering there.
Nvidia users are already complaining the same Ina Portuguese forum

Not bad at all, gives me hope for a solid 50 fps when i disable CA and Motion blur at 1080p. My 280x is heavily overclocked so that should help as well.

    Running AA at all?

Welp can't hold a stable 60 even on the lowest. On ultra with hairworks, 15-50fps, disabling hairworks adds about 10 fps. On everything medium 30-50 fps. Everything low is about 50-60fps

I get locked 30 fps with 1440p VSR downsampled, everything on Ultra except Gameworks which is off, Grass Density which is medium, and Foliage Draw Distance which is medium.

Yup i've decided, GTX 970 it is(was a 290x, got a 7870 atm, sold my 280x after problems) Getting it friday, cheers AMD :infinity:

I was awaiting Witcher 3 performance before i decided, but there we go. Not even an optimized driver before or on release hahahahahahaha

Crossfire is not working well. Much like FC4, when forced both GPUs run at 50%. Ultra settings @1200P (without Hairworks) I am getting 35fps.
