dmax3901 has shared new details via Reddit about the second expansion of The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine.... The Witcher 3 - Blood and Wine Details and Screenshots
Now this is what I call a "DLC" and what every expansion should be like. No crappy new multiplayer maps, but new story. Fits me.
One of the best games ever made. No DLC rip off, no DRM, vast and detailed world, good story and interesting characters, no boring sidequests, hundreds of hours of gameplay. This is what all games should be. Unfortunately this was just a brilliant rare exception in the gaming industry.
The Witcher 3 is one of the very best. I really cant say anything bad about it. With the new DLC coming out I figured I finally better finish Hearts of Stone. Which is also a great DLC. I literally just got done playing for a couple of hours "I am possessed and just found the fire breather for the party". I haven't played since last October and I almost forgot how funny the game can be. Blood and Wine will be just as big as some games, now that's a DLC! These guys really know how to put together a game and they deserve everyone award they have won.
This game is awesome! already bought and waiting to play it. Instead of releasing new Witcher 4 with less content, they should consider adding a new world region like this one in every 6 months or so as a DLC. This way we could keep this game alive for years and it would expand it beyond anything we've ever seen or thought possible. You could always travel back to the see again this beautiful places and characters and they could even make some trigger points in the story line where new quests with old characters would become available in the new maps from future DLC's, this would be so great! It could even be updated from tech point of view, when more memory and power will be available on graphic cards, they could update models, shaders and textures to keep this fascinating universe alive. Most of the models are usually made in zbrush high res so there would be no problem updating them, textures most often are also made in higher res and only then scaled down.
Since there was no link, this must be the reddit post the news was referring to https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/co...nd_wine_expansion_megathread_spoilers/d300ids
Not sure if they've said about the universe, but they've definitely said this is the last we'll see of geralt.
Well i hope they at least will patch it, and in a faster tempo than last time. I know achievements are srs business, but three patches to resolve them in the base game, is kinda sad.
I fear you are correct. I would hope that makers of other RPG franchises (and other genres) like The Elder Scrolls would step up their game and make something that isn't so lifeless and containing obvious filler content but I suspect it'll be more of the same, much like Fallout 4 is.
