I'm on 2 4gb GTX 680's running SLI with an i7 3930K and yet The Witcher 2 still seems to run sluggish for the most part. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my system. Every other game I've tried runs at a constant 60fps including Crysis 2 with the DX 11 and high res addon. Yet, my PC seems to struggle to even run the witcher 2 at 30fps. Is this normal?

Check and make sure Ubersampling is disabled.

I have ubersampling enabled. What does it do to cause such a dramatic slowdown?

Its a high quality rendering mode in which whole scenes are rendered multiple times to provide the best possible textures, object detail and a few other things. In other words, it kills performance. :nerd:

Witcher 2 uses DX9, hence most of its features tone down its performance via this renderpath..

Best is to use Downsampling from 2560x1440 => 1920x1080

Disable Ubersampling. Kills performance. A ton.

Yep, ubersampling is the killer. I was in the same dilemma 1 year ago when I was on my 2x580s rig 1920x1200 and with ubersampling the game ran at like 20-30 fps...
