Thanks for the link. There was no way I was going to download the entire 10gb through an auto-updater.

I hope you can just re-install the game for future use and patch directly with the EE.

Patching with all the other patches manually sucked.

I got the corrupted file error as well (pack0.dzip), so I left the installer and redownloaded Part 1 of the update (it was still 284mb for me), replaced the old file and hit the installer retry button and still got the same error. What now?

Download Part 1 and Part 2 , then paste them in your EE patch download folder replacing the old corrupted ones. After doing that run TW2EE_Patch (installer. Which is located in the same folder) and it should patch the game fine without any errors.

Many thanks to user "mieffer" who first posted this fix on here i think.

    EDIT:
For filesize, just incase someone wants to know
    Part 1 - 284mb
    Part 2 - 286mb

And thanks to CYBORG112 for posting on gamespot

Well the lighting etc seems to be the same as before on the PC version, at the same spot as the 2 pics posted earlier in the thread showing the standard PC version and the EE 360 version (http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=4292838&postcount=33) the lighting looks exactly the same as the PC pic.

Not sure if i'm bothered for the most part, as in some areas the 360 version looks kinda like what crytec did with the 360 crysis port (really oversaturated).

Should we suppose to look like the 2nd pic? Because I still have the lighting in the PC shot. This was just taken with EE installed on.

That's what i was expecting (for it to now look like the 2nd shot), i'm not a fan of that much saturation in that area, BUT in some of the PC areas it's very red and on those same areas on the 360 version they look a lot more natural.

It appears as though the PC version didn't get any lighting/graphical changes at all.

What's to be dissapointed about. The first shot has much better lighting. It's a medieval game, the dark subtle lighting adds to the game.

The massive god rays coming through the cracks is just hyperbolic to wow the fickle console gamers.

Nothing wrong with that sort of thing outside, but he's in a fortress, that amount of light inside just doesn't make sense.

Artistically the first shot is much better than the second.

    Is Enhanced Edition officially released?

Put everything on Low then take the pic again, im 80% sure it will look like the "enhanced lighting" of the 360 version lol

The ambient lighting is less detailed (there is no bloom too?) and only one light source on the xbox pic. Definitively not enhanced, just exaggerated lighting thanks to the scene having less complex light sources to save perf on the xbox edition.

For those who who are still getting errors while patching up Witcher 2 to EE on the PC, I found a location where a person on the official forums posted Checksums.

    http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/29103-download-checksums/

Check these checksums against the files you have, store your older files at some other location and manually re-download the files which have different checksums.

    -

I get other errors at the ending of patching (other than Pack0.dzip)

    \CookedPC\movies\intro02_fr.usm
    \CookedPC\movies\intro02_pl.usm
    \CookedPC\movies\iorweth_saskia_fb.usm
    \CookedPC\movies\load_a1_a2_r.usm

    --

Edit: NVM..ignore the above message, it doesn't help.

    ---

Edit 2: I curiously checked up the checksums (anyways)..

and found the following files to have different checksums on my PC

I just redownloaded TW2EE_Patch-1.bin and TW2EE_Patch-2.bin again from the manual links posted on the previous page and I was able to install the EE patch without any issues. Mind you I did have to reinstall the game again before I could do that as the previous EE installer had corrupted the game.

Part 35 ( link 36 ) won't download, it just says sending request and nothing happens. I'm just downloading the last few now. I've already downloaded the first 28 parts.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Bah I wonder why did the Enhanced Edition pre-downloader put wrong files on my system.

After all the hassle installing this EE patch, which included numerous attempts to patch my original game then having to reinstall the game when the patch messed it up, I have to say I'm a little underwhelmed. I guess it's a bit unfair to say that when the update is free but I was expecting more noticeable changes when the reality is that most of the changes came with the v2.0 patch and the additions amount to a couple of videos and a few extra missions in the last chapter. There have been no graphical changes at all and the lighting and draw distance are exactly the same.

Actually, I have noticed one difference and that is texture pop in is far more obvious than it was before. In fact, I don't recall ever seeing it at all previously but the two times I've loaded it up I've seen it both times. And, yes, I'm using the same Ultra settings (minus Ubersampling) as before at the same resolution. Has anyone else noticed textures popping in late which didn't happen before the patch?
