The upgrade bug is itching really bad, and I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out.

Hehe yea but I think 12gb will be fine especially at 1440p with DLSS. And damn I was gonna order now but taxes are around $60 dollars! Oh well I'll get it next week.

  5. I have 4070 Ti and haven't run into any problems with VRAM, I play at 1440p.
Even RE4 remake and RE Village run fine maxed out even if they claim to need closer to 14 GB.

Side note shipping and import would be 172 $ for me, lols

Well I said screw it and went with this which was cheaper on taxes and will be here on Sunday.

Based upon all the research I've done, especially in RT and Frame Generation performance this will easily be the highest end card I've ever owned. I can't wait to benchmark the hell out of it! @Undying get back to me when 4k resolution is the standard and 16gb VRAM is a necessity. Until then I'll take Nvidia's A.I. software since it actually works in more than a handful of games and far superior in quality compared to FSR, which at this point is becoming a pipe dream.

    12gb vram?!!

    @Undying , go get him!!:D:D

Mr.Conan, congratulations on your upgrade, Sir!

  8. FSR has improved a lot and there are cases where it easily matches DLSS, they have different strengths and weaknesses (and ones you cannot tell from YT videos).
DLSS is generally better in resolving detail whereas FSR has less motion smearing to put it as a broad generalization.

Saying this as a previous owner of Radeon and using FSR with it. When FSR 2 was released there were lots of comparisons around and I wanna say FSR worked better with Radeon than GeForce.
For example I was pressing myself to tell the difference between native and FSR Quality in God of War.

Still the most important thing, enjoy your new card!

lol don't take this guy seriously, he's just sour all the time.
but you could have gone with a basic 4070S, get +10-15% performance for %10 price increase instead of a fancy cooler, they're sub 200w cards, even my twin X2 is keeping it cool and quiet.
lol, for ray tracing that he said he wants ? this card is a dud for that, slower than last gen 6900xt.
and fsr3 is a mess, tried it in Robocop, it's all over the place, frametimes go crazy, and the ever present shimmer makes it even worse.
fsr never did or will allow dll swap in its current form too. 7900gre is 550-600 wasted on a card that'll never run max quality settings at acceptable fps.

you're posting fake news, not "things I don't like", just to clarify.
the 10G 3080 ran every game at max just fine too.I was just sick of having to deal with 350W of heat all the time, and fsrfg mod is not a long term solution, despite motion quality being quite nice. the UI stutter will drive you mad eventually.

7900GRE Pulse version is only 535€ its less than what OG 4070 costs. Its faster alot actually and memory is fixed with the latest driver but i assume you dont watch HU reviews as for you thats one of the "fake reviews". :D

RTX 4070 is just a sweet card...excellent frame rates while sipping electricity.

Good pick Brother!....I want one too!

Eventually, but it's cool that AM4 still has good options. But I'm using 1440p so I probably wouldn't notice much of a difference.

If I had the cash I'd grab a 4070ti too but it would be nicer if it was $600.
