The Unreal Tournament III thread

Specially when consider that there are so many Unreal Fanatics out there that play the game religiously........imagine what they would do to the console crowd.

UT 2003 + UT 2004 were considered as UT 2

 

NOOOO! Never use the phrase UT2003 again! That game was never made. It was just an illusion!

UT, UT2004 and UTIII, nothing else!

That floating hover skateboard looks to be fun to play, fx are awesome, hope it would be as good in performance wise as Bioshock, cuz that would be dope, well in trailers it ran super smooth.

Not all that interested in UT3 as a game , as a tech demo however I'm really excited.

What might change this is if I go and read a preview and see a really good singleplayer campaign. (Not just a CTF/deathmatch/Assault tournament)

 

is there going to be a PC beta?

 

It looks ok I guess, gfx look great but I don't truly believe it's gonna be anymore than UT2K4 with improved Gfx... Bioshock brought back a lot of cool stuff from System Shock days. Bioshock is definitely a place marker for a super quality and worthwhile game and worth every penny. The only bad side of Bioshock is the stupid protection that does more to turn people off who actually paid for the game. Chances of me getting UT3 however are about 4 in 10. Tired of UT.. It's been the same sh1t for a long time...MP is way way way too fast and the guns are the same it seems, just again, dressed up graphically..

Now the games that spawn from the engine, that should be interesting... As I see Bishock is amazing and so will MOH Airborne...

I played the HELL out of UT99, and I felt like 2k4 was kinda crappy.. didn't enjoy it nearly as much.

But along with the graphics, this new UT looks like it should be lots of fun. I'm expecting big things from the new maps, and vehicles.
With all the mods that will come out for it like Invasion RPG and Insta, this game will kick total ass. You gott akeep in mind that UT has one of the largest modding communities out there..

 

I just hope they don’t #$%&-up the game with the same SecuROM DRM (Sony) bull $#!~ that they infected Bioshock with. If they do, it will be a sad, sad day,…..:3eyes:

BTW, I never really stopped playing UT 2K4 so I have a great love of the game.

 

UT2K4 is probably my favorite multiplayer game of all time. And I think this game will be more of the same, with just a little different things here and there. But that's OK by me.

 

They won't. It's a sure sell on the PC, and it's all about the multiplayer so CDkey is good enough for this type of game.

I just can’t abide that BS they keep pulling. I like to play games as much as the next guy but if they keep it up I’m going to have to stop,….maybe pick up a good book,…until they figure out how to shoehorn DRM onto ink and paper,….

I hear that they will eventually ease up on the Activation / SecuROM BS DRM on Bioshock when the sales dwindle Maybe then I can buy the full game:

Yeah after seeing how well 2k games optimized the U3 engine for bioshock, im very excited to see how well Epic games optimizes it. I know they will do a good job because every other Unreal game was very scalable.
