Installed RTX2080 Gaming X Trio in my Pc what a beast
I am overclocked to 2085 core 16000 mem max temp after 40mins battlefield V 52c
I have my fan profile set to 40% @40c and ramp up to 100% @ 90c
also ran Future mark stress test it passed 99.4% core rock solid at 2085

Will start comparing it against my old 1080ti
I lost 300points in time spy bench against 1080ti@ 2060core

Try backing down the memory overclock 250 at a time. I have always been able to beat my 1080 TI, but margin went up the less I overclocked my memory. Just a thought

Sold my 1080 ti for a 2080 RTX. I don't see any changes other than the name of the card glowing out of my case window. Frames are 1-5 fps better or worse. Negligible. Having the RTX option is nice I supposed. Though I found it useless in BFV. As drivers mature (maybe even by now) I figure the 2080 would eventually ever so slightly take the lead from the 1080 ti. But honestly, they're both monsters.

What is your Time Spy score ?
    I have the same card.
Regarding stable clocks, just give it a time. 2085 was pretty stable for me for several days, I can even pass benchmarks with 2100-2115, but rock solid appears to be 2070 or maybe 2055 to have safe margin...
Also I do not have good memory. Around 15400 is maximum, and for 24/7 I'm keeping 15200.
Here is my score - https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/31536695

Just watched a video ( google Turing HDR gaming) I turned of HDR using my 1080ti due to the performance hit I never realised there is no performance hit using RTX Gpus same FPS ON and OFF I will be re enabling it in games.

Found a good deal on a Palit Gamerock 2080, kinda tempted to upgrade from my Palit Gamerock 1080. Anyone upgraded from 1080 to 2080? The reason I'm thinking about upgrading is that I have a 165hz Gsync monitor so the extra fps would help boost my fps and it would help to hit 90 fps in VR.

Not a massive upgrade, I know, but it would kinda do enough is my thinking.

You may as well wait until February 6th-7th when the Radeon VII reviews come out. If you can get a 16 gig card for 100 less, and it ends up performing the same, it is a no brainer.

I did a deal with my 1080ti for a RTX2080 (I had a good 1080ti friend wanted sli) I am really pleased with the RTX2080 It handles 4k well is a cool GPU and Is slightly quicker than 1080ti but I believe that gap will widen as drivers improve and with better game support.

GTX1080ti to RTX2080 a very slight upgrade would not recommend if it cost more than £50.
    GTX1080 to RTX2080 a very nice upgrade.
anything below a GTX1080 it would be an awesome upgrade.

I have a HTC Vive the 1080ti was awesome the RTX2080 is equally awesome but again with better drivers and tech advances it can only get better

Yeah, been looking at all possible reviews out there and at 1440p I see that I would go from 80fps to 110fps in some games and from 60 something to 80 something in others, that right there is exactly what I need, closer to 90fps in VR and any frames in general would be a plus with my monitor too.

The only reason I'm delaying this is because overall, the 1080 is still very capable at 1440p. Damn, decisions.

Went ahead and ordered the Palit Gamerock 2080. The Palit Gamerock 1080 I have now has served me well, a great gpu with amazing cooling, hoping this 2080 is just as good. Judging by the reviews, it should be a good one.

I am testing my new RTX 2070 and im running out of games
STAR WARS Battlefront II - framerate drops below 70 for long 1440p
Battlefield 1 - adaptive sync works for not the whole bloody screen at the bottom there is wide gap where it cuts through like v-sync off
DOOM - adaptive sync doesn't work in vulkan and open gl
    Overwatch - works perfectly
    Fallout 76 - adaptive sync doesn't work
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel - tiny micro stutters that breaks immersion of adaptive sync which do work this time
nvidia pendulum demo doesn't work with adaptive sync
im downloading far cry 5 now as this is my benchmark if this is broken then yeah nvidia experience is not great

    aaaaand no
far cry 5 has bottom parts of the screen out of sync while the rest works

on RX 580 all of the games work just fine
    part2

    enabling fast sync
    -fixed far cry 5
-enabled adaptive sync in DOOM but without bottom of the screen, oh it works with type of a sync in DOOM menu now
