downsampling is rendering internally at a super high resolution (like, twice your normal), then it is scaled down to your actual resolution. The end effect is basically pretty good anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering, at a pretty high cost to framerate (thought i don't think it would be a bother with a 7870).
I just can't believe Dark Souls has beautiful hidden graphics like that. Such a shame to hide this! Spoiler
Weekend special at Direct2Play. US$21.99. http://www.direct2play.com/243-dark...ame-steam-digital-download-multilanguage.html Just purchased myself and dwnlding now, so is all legit.
my info is outdated..i upgraded to a GTX 670 soooo, any way i could know how could i do this with dark souls (and dark souls only) since some other games are quite demanding...?
This is horribly addictive as there's always a new weapon, armour, ring or location just around the corner, tantalisingly out of reach until you've dispatched yet another boss. I actually slogged my way to the Demon's Ruin before I realised I wasn't meant to go there yet (still at least the mini-bosses and bosses are dead). Then I explored the Great Hollow and got cursed, which reduces your HP by half! Thankfully I found the Undead merchant who sold the cure in the Undead Burg so I've stocked up on it! I'm now finally at Anor Londo after the ridiculously convoluted and treacherous Sen's Fortress with its perilous drops, swining pendulums and annoying snipers. Phew! I think I need a holiday...
Really liking this. The patch to increase the resolution pushed me over the edge to get it. Wouldn't play without it as it just looks so bad. Now with internal 2048x1440 it's looking good and running smoothly!
Thanks for the link, but damn I am so broke that I can't even afford a 21.99 game lol.... so much fail.

These guys are pretty entertaining. Just watched their Sleeping Dogs vid and subscribed. Thanks for the link.
Playing this game is like a bondage, you feel beaten up and sore after every play session, but keep coming back for more.
Just leveling up doesn't help High level, no equipment = 99999999999999999% death -- Just got the game on Steam, Downloading it.. ^_^
I dunno why some pc gamers force themselves to play everything with mouse n' keyboard and pretend that its somehow better when its just simply not especially a game that was built around using a joy pad. one guy even saying racing games play better with a keyboard -_- Been using a joypad on pc since the 80's you would think these people who spend 500+ on a gpu could afford 20 for a pad
Or... no. It's an option yes, but one I have a hard time playing games with. I just don't find gamepads comfortable. And personally, if a game is going to release on PC... the standard PC control scheme of mouse and keyboard needs to at least be functional.
