    This shows a major problem of Mods the pictures above are vanilla results no changes as you thought they just show different tod and render states of vanilla ;)
    Back then it wasn't trivial to make these compare screens i literally waited the whole time for the TOD and render state to change ;)

    Im not really after the E3 look i like Vanilla as it came out except maybe some visual problems that i try to tackle :)

    Is it possible to make the ground and cars reflect fires and explosions? I see that the ground and cars will reflect billboards and videos very accurately but when there is a fire there is no reflection for it. I was wondering if this was possible to make those objects reflect fire and explosions...It was in the e3 demo so the files might be hidden in there. Here is what I mean, start watching at 7:50 to see the explosion, if you look at the road and then the car Aiden uses for cover, you can see the reflections for the explosion and then the continuing fire.
    Start watching at 7:50

    The game play demo of Watch Dogs from Ubisofts conference

    Hope this will be possible! Small details can make a huge difference...

    Dont know, maybe with some fix in Windy_city.game.xml (search for specularity or something like this)

    Or maybe there... I have a filelist on my phone, but cant Checkwhats in there

    engine\shaders\materialdescriptors\ui\reflectancegroup.xml
    engine\shaders\materialdescriptors\ui\reflectiongroup.xml

    If its possible it will cost lot of Performance

    i've test now and for me its not possible

    Code:
    <ui>
        <group horizontal="1">
            <label>Type</label>
            <group disable_if="ReflectionTexture">
                <combobox dataBindings="ReflectionType">
                   [COLOR="Red"] <comboboxitem value="0">World Static</comboboxitem>
                    <comboboxitem value="1">World Dynamic</comboboxitem>[/COLOR]
                </combobox>
            </group>
        </group>
    </ui>

    - changed the values of vanilla (i had wondering why static is 0= and dynamic =1), changing this in many different way , but no difference

    and also change Projected from "0" to ="1" in all layer lines in windy_city.game.xml makes nothing :-(

    Code:
    <Layers>....
        <Layer Name="Mud_01" UniqueId="1272748847,453017049" InUse="1" ProjAxis="2" Texture="graphics\_textures\ground\mud_02_d.xbt" TilingXY="8,8" NormalMap="graphics\_textures\ground\07_mud_01_n.xbt" NormalMapTilingXY="8,8" SpecularMap="graphics\_textures\ground\07_mud_02_m.xbt" SpecularMapTilingXY="8,8" SpecularColor="1,1,1" SpecularIntensity="1" SpecularShininess="16" IsUsingGlossMap="0" WetnessDiffuseMultiplier="0.5" WetnessGlossBoost="1.28" MinSlope="0" MaxSlope="90" AltStart="0" AltEnd="255" [COLOR="Red"]Projected="1"[/COLOR] Smooth="1" SurfaceTypeID="6" />
      </Layers>

    If it just would leak to understand the changes ;)

    but anyway imho performance is more important especially to realize all the physics stuff going on you need a well performimg threading and lowest latency possible, visual modifications can come later :)

    some of my GTX 460 results in this field

    Damn, that really sucks. I mean just in that one scene they had so many different things happening that made it look so realistic...like the falling flames setting fire to different parts of the street. I hope Ubisoft will add these effects and more with Watch_Dogs 2.

    I know right? The whole point of Pc games with great graphics is too have the game be DEMANDING, I mean look at Crysis, that game is still pretty hardware consuming and it has been almost two years, Ubisoft's reasoning was more than likely a petty lie to make the internet shut up, but just made it worse..Personally, I think it was the consoles that held Watch_Dogs back (mainly ''last gen'') So if Ubisoft ditches the ps3 and Xbox 360 maybe we'll see better visuals and a much improved engine overall. :)
